Rank the SEC by overall facilities!
Facilities for fans or Facilities for players?
There is a HUGE difference.

All facilities, for every sport. Whatever a team lists on it's website basically.

I have a feeling you havent seen pics of every singlr athletics facility in the SEC.
My statement still stands...you're horribly misinformed.
Go educate yourself and research.
And the shitty eyesore that is Tiger Stadium knocks LSU down 3 or 4 slots.(Maravich Center is pretty horrible too. Looks like the '70s threw up on it.)
Been there in '08 & '10...even LSU fans say it's a dump.
I was actually surprised at its bad condition.
And the new renovations will be like putting lipstick on a pig.
You're just like every other freaking Gump who pollutes this board. You can't stand for anyone to say that Gumpland USA isn't the be all and end all of the SEC.

Let's try and keep the flaming out of this thread. Everyone has a right to their opinion. I know where you are coming from though.

Well.......... Not many fans ever see the facilities that the players use. Very, very few LSU fans have seen all the LSU football facilities. Most have been to Tiger Stadium, but that's about it. Fans from other teams might have seen pictures of our facilities, but less than 1% have actually seen them.
I've been to every SEC campus except Missouri and have been to all their Football stadiums and almost everyone's basketball arenas, but I've never seen the Alabama Football Ops Center or the Auburn Pool or the Georgia Tennis courts, etc.
Pretty hard to rank things that you've never seen.

i have been on the ut campus many times and to say they are #1 in the sec i gotta call bull shite. maybe i haven't been in about 7 or 8 yrs so they could have done some building. i remember a mediocre and very small baseball facility, a very old track facility, the football indoor practice facility was only half a field and some other things that just weren't very good. their basketball arena was top notch and neyland itself is tier one and i have heard their players lockerroom/weight facilities etc are as good as it gets but so are numerous others. i guess i forget to check out the friggin' womens gymnastics facilities.
In the last 5-6 years the track was renovated. Brand new softball and soccer stadiums were built that are probably the nicest in the league. The brand new football training center was completed this year and it is the nicest facility of its type in the SEC. The men's and women's bball training facility was completed in 08 and is probably just about as nice as whatever Kentucky has. Neyland was partially renovated, as was the baseball stadium. Both have major additional renovations planned in the future.

Dan Magill Tennis Complex - #1 in the nation
Jack Turner Softball Complex - on par with the best in the SEC
Gabrielson Natatorium - have you seen pictures of this thing??
Foley Field - small, but nice. tucked in nicely on campus
Sanford Stadium - top 10 in the country
Stegeman Coliseum - old, but recently renovated. probably our worst facility
UGA Soccer Complex - meh... i dont know about this. it's women's soccer, who cares?
As far as facilities for athletes themselves, UGA is top notch with the Coliseum Training Facility and the new indoor practice facility.
I don't know why you have UGA #8. It's clearly on par with the best of the SEC.
Stupid thread anyway. It's football season... not March.
Posted on 9/16/12 at 7:04 pm to JoLeUGA
Lest we forget, UGA's golf course ranks top 10 in the nation according to Golfweek Magazine. The next closest SEC is UF at 20.
Since it's football season, I'm sure you've had plenty of time to gather enough criteria to create your own rankings list.. but what exactly are you going by?? Perception? Or reality? Because overall LSU is awful yet you have them ranked highly.
Biased. arse.

4) LSU - TAF doing work here. Expansions to TS, new tennis and gymnastic facilities planned and in the works.
As I said.... you're obviously biased.
LSU's facilities aren't even built yet.... yet you have them #4??? Blasphemy!

Mizzou basketball arena and training facilities are top notch, the football and baseball stadium need improvements.

You might want to visit Rupp, Joe Craft, and the Coal Hotel before you say that.

LSU gets ranked fourth for facilities not yet in use, but Alabama is seventh because our new ones haven't broke ground? Makes sense...

All of you, go back to the beginning of the thread, and re-read it.
For each school, I took into account current facilities, planned renovations, and new facilities
Alabama and UGA rank where they are because their baseball and basketball facilities are in the bottom half of the conference.
LSU and Auburn rank above them because their baseball and basketball facilities are better by comparison.

Kentucky doesn't own Rupp? Did not know that at all.
Sounds similar to A&M. The school doesn't own Reed.

Is Coleman Coliseum any worse than the P-Mac? Coleman had a $25 million renovation in 2006.

Baseballsyntric, we get it.

Did you google these facilities?

So in other words, this isn't a ranking system based on OVERALL FACILITIES as stated in the title?

5) (Tie) TAMU - Has the potential to move up in this list, based on the planned new football stadium. Blue Bell is top notch, as is Reed. Fine non-revenue sport facilties.
I don't know what everyone's facilities are like so I'm talking out of my arse (though that seems to be the gist of the thread) but if Reed is top notch then the SEC basketball arenas blow. Very blah and even the practice expansions probably only move it up to mediocre in my mind.
Reed was done in the late 90s and we got shortchanged on it because of politics. We've done a really good job with the non-revenues and for the most part, our newer builds are top notch, but Reed is most definitely not included in that.
In fact, I'd honestly be shocked if anyone had better non-revenue facilities overall than we do. It's where all our money goes. ffs, this is our women's soccer stadium

Razorback stadium isn't as big as some, but it's pretty nice. Great setting in the ozarks and has a nice looking exterior. The concourses are nicer than many I've been in, including the SEC.
Our baseball stadium has been ranked as the best in the nation by multiple publications, starting back in the 90's.
I'm pretty sure no SEC school can compare in outdoor track and indoor track facilities. We went full retard with suites here.
Softball stadium is one of the nicest Ive seen. Not sure about most schools, but they would be hard pressed to top Bogle Park. Chair backs all throughout. Suites and all that jazz.
Bud Walton is a nice venue. One of the best in the league. Poor girl is in need of some upgrades, which are coming. The Basketball Palace of Mid America is still a beaut though.
Tennis facilities are nice. Again, went full retard with suites. Not sure why.
Soccer stadium is pretty meh. Nothing to write home about.
Currently in the midst of $300 mil in renovations program wide. New football ops center is about half done. New practice fields, that are one story off the ground with parking deck underneath are complete. New HD screen has been installed in stadium. Will be I closing north end zone within the next couple of years as well as adding HD screens in each corner of south end zone.
A new basketball practice facility will be going up shortly, as well as a new athletic academic center.
Baum Stadium will have more seating and suites added with a full 360 concourse and centerfield entrance. Probably put capacity around 12-13k.
Indoor baseball practice facility is also ready to be built. The approval was done about a month ago.
