True, but the place is old as shite isn't it.

Mizzou and maybe OM.......nobody gives a shite about non-revenue sports.
Well overall facilities is the point of the whole thread. But even limiting to the big three sports...football, basketball, and baseball...wouldn't move MSU above either Mizzou or Ole Miss.

Don't the UK folks say Rupp is a POS and needs major upgrading or even replaced?
It needs upgrades but it's still a hell of place for basketball. They have major renovations coming up to add luxury boxes and etc. We also have a practice facility that is second to none and better then some NBA facilities.
And no, we don't own Rupp. The city of Lexington does, but we have sole interest in scheduling and etc.
Commonwealth itself isn't necessarily a bad facility. It just needs upgrades too.

Their standards are quite a bit higher than most of the rest of the conference.
I agree with this. Arkansas, Tennessee, Missouri and maybe South Carolina have the nicest basketball facilities in the league and then its a pretty big drop off. Who else would you put above Rupp? Maybe Auburn but its so small I just don't see how you could and I personally would put Rupp ahead of South Carolina.

I didn't think it was that old, but IDK. IIRC the facility is owned by the city of Lexington, if I'm recalling what the Kats fans said. So that complicates matters in getting upgrades.
Edit: BluegrassBelle beat me to it.

MSU above either Mizzou or Ole Miss
MSU is about to have a nicer and bigger football stadium than Ole Miss and a brand new football facility. Missouri's isn't as nice as either MS school. Ole Miss has the better baseball field and State has the nicer bball arena.

You've obviously never visited Polk or the Hump.

Agreed once both MS schools renovate the football stadiums Mizzou won't even be in the same hemisphere*

Mizzou has one of the top 3 basketball arenas in the SEC. State does not.

I was comparing the arena to Ole Miss.

7) Alabama - Other than BDS, no Alabama facility is in the top half of the conference, with the possible exception of women's softball.
New tennis and track facilities, new weight room for football at Mal Moore, basketball arena has been upgraded recently, women's basketball arena has been upgraded. The only facility that needs some work is the baseball stadium. BDS is the best stadium in the SEC...nobody else comes close.

This thread's list includes planned improvements. Mizzou has a bigger football stadium than either State or Ole Miss, maybe bigger than both combined, and it's getting expanded. Mizzou also has one of the best basketball facilities in the conference.
Ole Miss is building a new basketball facility and expanding VHS. They have superior non-revenue sports facilities to State right now. I haven't heard of any plans for expansions/renovations for State in those areas. Enlighten me.

Even with the renovations, I can't see moving Alabama above anyone on the list ahead of them.

why would i enlighten you here? who gives a frick
and your rankings might as well only be dependent on size if it matters that much to you.

did you ever get access to our board?

Well if we're talking about upcoming upgrades, UK just got $7 million for a soccer upgrade. And there's rumors that the state is making a move to give UK $500 million in bonding with part used for athletic upgrades to Rupp Arena, Commonwealth Stadium, and Cliff Hagan (Baseball).
If that comes to pass you can bump us quite a bit up the list IMO. The original IMG plans for Rupp Arena and for Cliff Hagan were really nice.

Not just size, but athletics is a business, and the more seats you have...
