At one point I thought his vision was great. I remember back in the 09 title game when he cut it back and broke one for like 50 yards. That whole couldn't have been bigger than the ones he has missed in the NFL.

Kinda strange really, he was doing as well as any of the other backups. In the last preseason game the starter gained 1 yard on 7 carries.

I just don't think that his vision is his big problem. He has gotten slower, and less athletic since his rookie year, and at a very fast progression. Look at the rookie highlight vid-he just didn't make those kind of plays is '13, and '14. Looks like a different person all person all together now-a-days.

Does this mean we have to return the 2 national championships he won while at Alabama?
No?
Well, ok then.

I've been saying this since he was at Bama on this board. He lacks first step acceleration and hesitates and isn't worth a damn unless he somehow has a head of steam. Being a physical specimen is not the same as being an intuitive runner. That guy is one of the easiest backs to tackle behind the LOS that I have ever seen.

You could really see this in the Game of the Century when he was playing against a bunch of NFL players. He got bottled up quite a few times behind the line in that game.

His body building work out regimen can't help matters. He's lost what athleticism he had.
