As for Trent, I never thought he was as good as advertised because of the way he was stopped at or behind the line when the hole wasn't a mile wide.
Your memory is for crap, then. He commonly busted thru first line of defense after contact. I had so many "double or nothing / triple or nothing" bets with my buddy for times in a row he would go over 3+ yards after contact. Guess which one of us ended up on the short end of the stick?
BUT we kept at it. It was a good omen.

Jim Brown called it right after they drafted him and got BLASTED for it too. Maybe the Browns should listen to him a little more.
For as bad as that pick was how much worse were the Colts for giving up a 1st for him? Significantly worse.

Trent obviously doesn't work hard or really seem to care about the NFL but the Bama hate is scrumptious.

I sure thought he was a sure non miss in the NFL. Crazy how tough the NFL really is. Then again, look how long it has taken Ingram to get it going. I am so glad the Saints were patient with him. Now he will sign a monster deal if he has the season we are all expecting.

Just another Bama bust in the NFL. What else is new?

at one point we had this guy Ingram and Lacy all on the team at the same time
And the thought was that Trent would be the NFL superstar Ingram would have an opportunity to make it big and Lacy would be the longshot
now it's basically in the exact opposite direction

"Trent Richardson and the Cleveland Browns have agreed to a four-year, $20.4 million contract (fully guaranteed) with a $13.6 million signing bonus, NFL.com and NFL Network's Albert Breer and Ian Rapoport reported Monday, each citing a source with knowledge of the situation."

Guess Trent will need to find out what the value of a Bama degree is. Did he get one?

sadly, many if not most of college football players (and damn few college basketball players) do not earn their degree and many of those that do earn degrees that are hard to market. somehow, most people are perfectly OK with this. i'm not one of these left wing nuts but I wish more players would take control of their lives in college. it really is their responsibility.
having said that, Richardson probably made more money than you and put together in our entire lifetime. hope he took care of it.

Easy there bud. Do you have any idea how many so call superstars in any professional sport made bank and are now broke? So who gives two shits about anyone not making in their lifetime what Richardson has. Does not mean jack shite! I will say I hope Trent has spent and invested his money wisely because he sure looks like he won't continue to make a living playing football.

Let's hear the list. When you have as many players in the NFL as Bama does (most in SEC) you are bound to have some that don't live up to expectations. That said, let's hear your list of Bama busts. I want you to reveal how little you know about football.

I bet RBs hate Trent. He pretty much ruined them being taken high in the draft.
Nah bro. McFadden started that trend.

PS- Richardson has an excellent financial advisor in his hometown looking out for him.

I don't understand how he could be so great in college and not even be servicable in the NFL. It's like he just quit caring. Hope he took care of the money. Must be nice to never play a down for Oakland in the regular season and get $600,000 guaranteed.

Depends on your moment in time.
TR was far better than MD in college. MD couldn't keep his head on straight for any length of time and now he's hungry for a chance and some money. TR got paid and perhaps doesn't want as much or just simply cant do it anymore.
I'm not an NFL fan so I really don't care how either do in the NFL - only how they did in college. Furthermore, you're comparing MD's first season to TR's 3rd.
Perhaps you should compare them apples to apples in a couple of years. Based on your posting history you may have a difficult time processing that.
