Javy was the man! Shame he couldn't break Welkers punt return record. He was pretty close IIRC

No they didn't. Arenas was in the NFL three years longer than Mathieu

I didn't realize Cooper played against Sherman or Revis yesterday.

Good, i wasted a 2nd rd pick on him a couple years ago, he was a bum.

I rode him his rookie year. I was pissed when he went so early the next year. Then he just tanked...

Hopefully Cooper does the same thing for me this year

As for Trent, I never thought he was as good as advertised because of the way he was stopped at or behind the line when the hole wasn't a mile wide.

That is BS . . . dude was a hoss in college. Period. He ran the frack over people. Had some of the best footwork out there.

To say it was the product of the offensive line is not giving him enough credit. Ingram and Lacy had the same ones, and they are both top 12 backs now (with Lacy easily top 5).

He just lost it. I don't know how, but he just lost it.

Meh. Arenas was too short to be a star DB in the NFL. All in all, at worst he had a five year NFL career and that's probably better than most would have figured for him.

That's interesting that Bama folks would say Arenas would be better than Mathieu when his college career ended a couple of years prior.

Isn't Arenas the same height as Kareem Jackson?

He lost his vision. One of the reasons Lacy is good is because he had great vision. TR also can't easily overpower players like he did at Bama.

Well iirc Arenas went in like the 2nd or 3rd round. LSU fans said Mathieu would be drafted higher. This led to all sorts of riff raff about who was better and who would be better in the NFL, better NFL prospect, etc

Arenas was drafted higher, fwiw

Even if true it is not some out of the world crazy concept. Arenas was a first team All American. He had more ints in his Senior season than Mathieu had in his career. Plus Arenas was not a pothead

I thought he was going to be so good in the league. Not my best prediction. He's been garbage.

I didn't say it was a crazy concept. Arenas was great in college. I'm just laughing after the fact for obvious reasons.

I didn't expect my comment to derail the thread so much.

His vision isn't great, that's true, but I think that his biggest problem is his quickness to the LOS.

He always gets swamped at the LOS because he just doesn't get there fast enough to get past these big, fast NFL freaks.
