This is why Jacob Eason has a shot at having a very good year. Jim Chaney turned this.
Here it is in slo motion...for full effect.
Into a 2,200 yard passer with 20 tds and 6 ints (and add in another 235 rushing yards). (Nathan Peterman)
He also turned Jonathan Crompton from 890 yards 4 tds and 5 ints, to 2,800 yards 27 tds and 13 ints.

I have no idea what makes me a scared little bitch? If i was a state fan I would be scared how terrible my team might be.

ummmmm....what? Arkansas fans told us that Ark/UT fans are totally united in their disdain for chaney. Didn't you get the memo?

I honestly think he needs a year but I am sure Kirby will make the smart decision.
Did he at least get to enroll early?

Okay then maybe he will be ready.

1) Guys that good aren't going to hang around for 5 years.
2) If we had a murray or greene or shockley, then maaaaaybe you redshirt him. But we have greyson frickin lambert. Plus all 3 QBs are learning a new system so nobody has a head start there.
It would be the worst decision possible to redshirt him. The only question is how early will it be before he starts full time.

I thought he would play but as a back up role I don't think he will be there for a 5th year either.

he might play sparingly against UNC since it's not a cupcake opener, but he should undoubtedly be startign by ole miss.

It seemed like every QB did well that game. Are you worried about your defense?

Not because of anything to do with the spring game.
I don't have high expectations for this season, so I'm not particularly worried about any one thing.

LBs and secondary should be very good.
DL is a major question mark and especially early on will be scary considering how many young guys with little/no PT will be counted on.

He will provide a much needed passing threat. Will throw a bunch of flashy TD passes and probably a lot of interceptions too. Will be a beast by next year, but I anticipate a few growing pains. He should be our starter though.

Yall signed 4 DT's 3 of them are 4 stars. Any of them gunna start or at least be in the rotation?

They will all play as backups imo

I don't know. haven't really watched a whole lot of them. But, if he does an average job we will be better than we were last year. With Chubb, Michel and Holyfield running the ball we feel ok, though. We are not expecting or predicting miracles from Eason. maybe just an average year.

Well, Jacob Eason has never played in the SEC before..

I don't think it's a stretch to think he might get on the field before he is ready.
it's a certainty, and all UGA fans will tell you the same. He WILL struggle early, sometimes probably terribly. But by teh halfway point he should settle down. At any rate, I doubt he'll be any worse than lambert.

Agreed it would be a terrible decision to redshirt on multiple fronts. With the incumbent starter Lambert not exactly "lighting it up" last year, this spring, or likely this fall, not giving Eason a chance to play only serves to:
1) Push the decision to play a QB with zero starting experience to next year
2) Indicate that Kirby is less likely to play the most talented player even if they're younger/less experienced (note this isn't just starting Game 1, but if he were to redshirt)
3) Stacks Fromm and Eason on top of each other with zero separation between Eason and possibly Trevor Lawrence (one current edge over Clemson).

Everyone knows that the only UGA QB who has a chance against Ole Miss is Jacob Eason. Lambert and Ramsey are both bad.
