What are your realistic expectations for Jacob Eason this season? Have you watched much of his film? Do you think he will start this year and if so by what game? I think Eason will have a great career, but I am a little worried people at Georgia are going to want to throw him on the field before he is ready.

I don't think he will start against us.

I'm expecting 3 undefeated seasons in a row, and 3 nattys.

Next question..

Name one true freshman that has done an above average job at quarterback in the SEC. I don't think it's a stretch to think he might get on the field before he is ready.

You'll have to stop Chubb this year, cannot wait for October 1st and thank god it's between the hedges and not at that shot show field of yours.

He was not good and played almost 40 years ago 44% passing completion and he threw more interceptions than touchdowns.

He wasn't terrible but I wouldn't say he is above average and I think Lambert has much better stats than Ainge did his freshman year.

Shoop D vs. a statue, shitty QB went ok.

To answer the OP, I think Eason is starting by mid-season if not the opener. If Lambert wins the job initially, he will have one shitty game early on, lose confidence, get even worse, and that will be that.

Eason will have a very steep learning curve, can't be helped. We also start the season depleted at RB, with a relatively young and unproven WR corps. To top it all off, we have a brand new HC in his first job as an HC. Our OC and DC are also new to Georgia as are a majority of the other coaches.

In other words - a lot of warning signs.

We do have some talent throughout the team, but a lot of it is young and unproven.

Looking at the pre-season All SEC offensive team we only have three players on the first second and third teams combined. And one of those will be returning after a serious knee injury.

We only have 3 players on the pre-season All SEC defensive first, second, and third teams combined. We have 0 players on the first team.

I'll be happy this season if we can make it through the regular season with 8 wins. Any more than that will be an amazing good sign for the future.

My opinion is there's a good chance he could start in the game against OM. If you're asking about the OM/UGA game specifically your first concern should be a healthy Nick Chubb with a healthy Sony in the backfield. Trying to answer your question honestly. I think it'll take a few games before JE starts.

Same trajectory as stafford...look very uneasy and shaky early but will find the groove later. Stafford was essentially starting by game 2 (due to injury to JT3) and it was mid/late NOvember when the light really came on.

Nobody konws when eason will take over (only a matter of time) so it's hard to really project.

BUT, bottom line answer...I think when he first starts playing (first 5/6 games) he'll make a couple incredithrows and also look liek the TFr that he is. But by November he should be clicking and should enter '17 as a bonafide AA caliber player.
