He from the same cloth as Nutt, the only difference is he is as good as he thinks he is with the offense thing. Nutt was the better manager of a program which is really fricking sad when you think about it.

He must have been a hell of a coach to win so many games if he was such a horrible recruiter. Or he was a better coach of talent. Our current coach can't recruit and he doesn't win near as many as BP. What does that say about Bert

He can coach, he can't recruit and kills most relationships with the High School coaches.

He always put himself ahead of everything and anything, which lead to the motorcycle ride off a cliff and John L.

Petrino was/is a fantastic coach. He would have kept us (in my opinion) in the Top 15 every year. With our recruiting base, that's a good accomplishment. I feel that he should have been retained, and we should have weathered the storm.

With all of that said, I like CBB a lot. I don't believe he's as good of a coach as Petrino, but CBB is a better human being (by a mile).

John L Smith was a disaster.

This is the main reason. I loved the guy. I even loved his a-hole mentality, but he is the reason we suffered the past few seasons. That being said, BB is my favorite Hog coach we have had. I have faith that he can get it done when given the time to build. Bret has built a pretty solid roster thus far by sticking to his process. I'm excited to see what he can pull off this year. Not many understand what BB has slowly done with our roster.
