Shouldn't you be more worried about how many points Okie state is going to put up on muffins?

he's already marked that one down as a loss....he's focused on LSU right now

Just curious how the "Cam Cameron Experiment" is going to pan out. TCU is no joke. Don't take them lightly, consider this a warning.

that's a lot to expect breaking in a new offense against a defensive mastermind.
#1-LSU is not breaking in a new offense
#2-LSU's offense is a veteran offense
#3-LSU's offense is not playing against a defensive mastermind.
#4-TCU's offense is playing against a defensive mastermind
#5-TCU's OL is gonna be in trouble
#6-TCU's "vaunted" defense is gonna find out what pounding the rock means.
our O will put up 31 pts and our D and special teams will also put up pts. as i believe LSU will put up 42 or so.

I say somewhere in the 27-34 pt range
Don't be shocked to see LSU run up some ungodly numbers at times this year; over the past couple seasons we've put up some points despite our horrible scheme. Cameron isn't coming in to reinvent the wheel, he's going to clean up what we have. Remember how much improvement the defense made once we got a competent cooridinator (Chavis) on that side of the ball? I expect the same with the offense this year.
TCU might hang for a quarter, or a half, but we'll grind them down over 60 minutes.

Jesus man that's a lot to expect breaking in a new offense against a defensive mastermind

Wouldn't it be mastermindedlyish? I love the TJ Ribshack

37 with either of our backs. They are well matched and will run all over them, regardless.

10/20/12 vs. Texas Tech * TV Fort Worth, Texas L, 56-53 (3OT)
LINK
That's 36 scored in 4 quarters against a *defensive mastermind*
10/06/12 vs. Iowa State * TV Fort Worth, Texas L, 37-23
LINK
That's 37 scored in 4 quarters against a *defensive mastermind*
10/27/12 at Oklahoma State * TV Stillwater, Okla. L, 36-14
LINK
That's 36 scored in 4 quarters against a *defensive mastermind*
Now does allowing 36+ in those 3 games during the 4 quarters of football = *defensive mastermind*?

Right, so you just brought on Cam to help Les serve ice cream at halftime?

#2-LSU's offense is a veteran offense
That's helpful. It will be interesting to see if they can adapt to Cameron's concepts.

Wrong

Patterson > Chavis. Irrelevant to the conversation, regardless.

Again irrelevant

Maybe. Ask 2B's how that went.

Don't get me wrong, Chavis is a very solid coach. He's also had the luxury of running his D with an ungodly amount of talent at Tennessee and LSU.
Patterson is more multiple, a schematic innovator. He really gets the most out of his players and that's obvious. Chavis would have more trouble cutting it at TCU.

quote:ok, let me get this straight- you're now equivocating Wisconsin with LSU; Big 10 athletes (including the RBs) with SEC athletes? Fine, gotcha.

This is not to trivialize Wisconsin in any way, but we've seen the difference between top Big 10 teams and top SEC teams enough in recent years to know there's a difference. LSU 2 yrs ago would have most likely mangled that Wisconsin team TCU squeaked by (despite getting run on).
LSU's defense will be better than anything TCU has faced recently, and that will translate to more possessions. Once we get ahead and force them to play catch-up, our D will tee off on them, and our offense will batter them into submission. They may withstand a couple series, but over the course of the game, I think it will get ugly. And given the perceived disrespect Miles and the team is getting this year, I think the team will come out focused and motivated, and the coaching staff will not hold back in the fourth quarter.

Chavis is among the top defensive minds and recruiting coaches in CF history. To say he would have trouble cutting it at TCU is a little much.

LSU will score more on TCU than State will on Okie lite.

LSU's run game over the past few years has been very similar to Wisconsin's style. Let's not pretend that Wisconsin had slouches on the OL and some shitty RBs.

That is speculation at best. Wisconsin was decimating teams during the 2010 season.

Can't argue that

You better hope you get ahead. It'll be bad news if LSU falls behind early.

Wait, what?

Really? All I've ever heard from LSU fans is that the knock on Chavis is his recruiting ability. To say he is among the top recruiting coaches in the history of college football is laughable, and I wouldn't count him among the top defensive minds in the history of the game either.
