Well I was trying to be generous by including the other SEC games he played in. But if you want to only count the Auburn game that's fine with me.

Brandon Harris only completed 21% of his passes in his "only real SEC action"

i've already pointed how meaningless the stat is though. Why would i care if you corrected it to make him look worse?

Keep telling yourself it's meaningless. It's precious. Reminds me of preseason 2012 when Auburn fans were trying to convince themselves and anybody who would listen that Kheil Frazier would improve on his poor true freshman season, it was only limited action after all.

Leave it to a noob to derail the first flame free thread between these two schools all offseason.

Everything I posted is directly responsive to the question in the OP. How have I derailed anything?

For 2015.... I think #2 would be more worrisome because LSU has all of the other pieces to have a really dominant offense in that scenario.

I still have my doubts about how good Texas A&M will be this year, even on offense.

Either one of these options would lead to said team winning the SEC. Pick your poison.

I'm not trying to convince you he will be a top 3 qb. I already agreed he wont be. I'm not sure you are even reading the thread to be honest.

I only pointed out how dumb you sounded claiming something was fantasy on the level of beelzebubb playing lb for bama (i know you probably thought that was witty but it missed the mark).

Jamarcus Russell ain't walking through that door bro

Yep, neither is Rohan Davey, Matt Mauk, Matt Flynn or Zach Mettenberger.

Of course, JJ did win 24 games as a starter, with one SEC title, at LSU.

The goal of the OP was to create a discussion about the two teams from the perspective of a different fanbase. It's all good I just think if we fill it up with the usual chest thumping homerism, it will devolve into a flame war.

Try to keep the aTm & LSU fans outta this thread.

To be fair, the major disruption is BowlJackson who can't stop being a jackass.

If both scenarios come true, I think LSU has a slight edge to win the conference over A&M, only because they play at Tiger Stadium. Both would probably be undefeated coming into that game.

Not worried, Saban doesn't have any eligibility left.

A&M total offense ranking: 2012: #1 2013: #2 2014: #6 That doesn't look very stable to me. As a matter of fact, that resembles an inverted incline.

On the other hand, the hypo guarantees A&M a top 3 defense as a whole. All of A&M's depth and stability is on offense, that side of the ball is not in question at all. If they're guaranteed a top 3 D, they're a championship caliber team.

yeah but Kevin Sumlin will still be coaching Texas A&M and frick it all up.

I would be more upset listening to the a&m fans if Chavis works a miracle and fixes thier defense. I also would hate the LSU fans that would b!tch as well. so a&m having a top 3 defense is my answer.

An injury in the backfield, or to a WR, could instantly make LSU one dimensional on offense, while transitioning to a new defense.

lol we could lose two starting recievers and two rbs and I still think we are solid at those positions

Who had the better stats in their first year,

Brandon Harris:
45-25-2 for 452 yards, 6 TDs, 52 rushing yards.

Or

Brandon Cox:
22-34-2 for 357 yards, 4 TDs, -18 rushing yards.

You realize like 80% of Harris' yards and TDs came from New Mexico St. and Sam Houston St.?
He had 2 TDs and 2 INTs in SEC play
Real fricking impressive

That's a really tough question. I'd say the LSU QB one

I think aTm can do more damage with a top 3 defense than LSU can with a top 3 QB.

IMO, QB ain't the only problem with that LSU offense. It's been too predicatable the last few years. Miles' stubborness and his unwillingness to shake things up and be more creative with the playcalling has been a problem too.
