You guys can bash LSU all you want but their common thinking is correct.
A national championship in one of the "other two" of the three big men's sports (basketball or baseball) is MUCH more significant than a regular football SEC Championship.
I can still vividly remember Vanderbilt, USC, and LSU winning the baseball natty and Florida and Kentucky winning the basketball natty.
Heck, I can remember the razorbacks basketball national title in the mid 90's like it was the birth of one of my own kids.
Football conference title games run together over the years. If Auburn did not win it, I don't even remember who played in it from year to year.
There is plenty of fun to poke at our rivals but any fan who puts a football conference title at the summit is stupid.

That's the only correct answer. Always pick the national championship over conference title. NCs are forever.

SEC Football championships:
LSU 11
Florida 8
You're off a bit pal.
Since integration Florida has 9, LSU has 6. So unless your in your 70s nobody gives a rats arse about sec titles with only white players before 1972.
And championships since the civil rights movement..
3 Florida
2 LSU

Meh. Baseball and gymnastics are of equal importance to me, which would be zero.

Baseball if you win the SEC and don't make playoffs that SEC championship will be shite on pretty hard by everyone

I do. Only losers cherry pick periods to fit their narrative.

So are conference titles. It's not like they fade away after 10 years.

Sure they do. There is a representative number for that championship but no one ever discusses or remembers much about those seasons.
For someone that doesn't understand baseball you certainly do like to post in baseball threads. Is the soccer bored down?

Plot twist, who would you rather be:
Florida has never won a baseball championship. Has 3 football national championships
LSU has won 6 baseball championships and won 3 football national championships
Rather be Florida with 3 football championships and 2 basketball championships.

I do understand baseball. I just don't like baseball.

Not much going on right now. Most of the leagues have ended. Gold Cup doesn't start until July. There's the Confederations Cup, but we've already discussed how much it really matters.

SEC title in football all day long. Are you serious?
Programs are measured by how well football does. Whether that be extra revenue that trickles down to the other sports or what have you. It's by far the most important. Baseball, for most schools, loses the schools money. Plus baseball is boring as shite.

Honestly, there's no difference in the joy you get from either sport including basketball when your college team wins it all
Perhaps for you, but the fact that 100,000 fans will pay to watch a football game and way more that will come just to tailgate, as opposed to less than 10,000 that will pay to watch baseball, indicates that isn't the case for the many.
A google search showed that only LSU averaged more than 10,000 (10,880) for the 2015 season (the first one I found). The 2nd ranked team, Ole Miss, averaged less than 8,000. The 25th ranked team averaged 2,756. For the record, Alabama, at #22, averaged 3,643. #23 Auburn averaged 3,162. The top 5 were SEC teams.

I guess I am shocked that anyone would choose a natty in baseball over a SEC title in football. I could not name one individual player on the Bama baseball team and have not watched a game in over a decade. I get it that some folks enjoy it but I don't understand this very well. Of course Bama is a football school and LSU is a baseball school so I guess that must be the difference.

title in baseball as this would enhance our stronger program.

The premise of this thread is pretty stupid. If the caveat is that LSU still doesn't make the playoffs with an sec title, that pretty much means that they have two losses or more which likely means the SEC sucked if the conference champion didn't make the CFP. LSU fans love college baseball. Sure a lot of people don't care about college baseball, but I don't see why that matters. So you're basically asking would LSU fans rather play in a NY6 bowl or win a national title in a sport they love.
Exactly.
But you have mouthbreather idiots like the OP or cajunbama/Daniel/texag all up in this thread.

LSU fans would much rather win a title in baseball, one of the reasons they're the most degenerate fan base in the SEC. They care so much about tier 5 baseball (majors, AAA, AA, and A) (had to explain that there's much better baseball being played every day as LSU fans wouldn't understand) when the majority of those kids will be working regular jobs the rest of their lives lives, AKA they weren't really very good at baseball. Just shows how much LSU has fallen since the glory days of the 2000's, which is when LSU football first started.
Cajunbama/Daniel/texag has never even posted something this stupid.
