Nothing says great defense like shutting down the vaunted LSU passing game.
You know we finished top 10 in total defense, right?

It was too cold for their pansy asses, the crowd was into the game from the start, and Arkansas' defense brought the wood all game long. Nothing to do with Bama, lol.

We all know if LSU beats bama its a whole different story. We all know who the better team is and who had the better year.

I wanna see the old LSU football. As much as I hate you motherfrickers, whenever Alabama wasn't playing, I loved watching LSU pick apart teams like TAMU, Oregon, WVU etc.
I always enjoy watching an LSU game, just good football all around. I have a hard time watching the games where scores get up into the 70's/80's and damn near 100 total pts.

The Bama game takes more out of LSU than most people realize. It is our Super Bowl, there is no denying it. It all goes back to the 2011 BS to be honest. When we lost the lead at home vs Bama last year, that team couldn't recover in time to face a hungry and improving Ark team. I'm actually surprised it wasn't worse than 17-0.

Stop using Bama as an excuse for the loss. This was just a pitiful performance offensively. Miles forgot Fournette was on the team, and Jennings had more rushing attempts then any of our very talented RBs.

I really think a lot if it had to come from our defeating loss we took the weak before vs bama that pretty much deflated the team. The team didnt have anything to play for and were really down, not to mention our RT Vadal Alexander didnt play, it was cold, and we couldn't run the ball. Anthony Jennings just Anthony Jenningsed.

SteamQuestion for LSU fans on the Arkansas game by SteamJennings was extremely bad as usual, everyone looked disinterested, which is starting to become a trend after a bama game loss
Uh yeah, like after the 2012 Bama game when we beat Miss. State, Ole Miss, and Arkansas

Perfect storm of poor game planning, Arky hitting their stride, disappointment after shitting our pants against Bama in OT, and terrifyingly poor QB play.
That game burned the last bridge for me with AJ. I hope he never plays another down at LSU.

It was a combination of things...Arky was DESPERATE for an SEC win, they had two weeks to prepare, while the week before we had crushing defeat to Bama. That also banged us up....it was the perfect recipe for Arky to do what they did.

LSU meandered into the perfect storm for a loss. They had horrendous QB play, Miles had one of his "I refuse to accept reality" games, their defense was left on the field too long, they caught a Razorback team that had been getting better with each week, and... well it was cold.
If LSU had better coaching or QB play during the game it would have been closer, and that might of made the difference because the Hogs just could not win close games last year. LSU didn't do that.
For whatever reason Miles has a lot of trouble most years getting LSU up to play Arkansas, even though the Hogs have been a persistent thorn in the Tigers' side over the years. When you combine that with an Arkansas team that well and truly believes it can beat the Tigers you are asking for trouble if you are LSU.

sulli- i think you've been breathing the air here too long.

LSU always starts slow against Arkansas, and sometimes that means a close game all the way.
Basically, it's pretty sad to say, but during Miles' tenure, LSU mentally checks out of the regular season after playing Alabama, win or lose (A&M in 2013 is an exception).
LSU traditionally plays the same way against Ole Miss as it does against Arkansas. The LSU-Ole Miss was after the Alabama game for years before moving to its old-school Halloween-or-so spot on the calendar last year.
Even in 2011 when LSU went 13-0 before losing 21-0 to Bama, LSU was down 14-0 to Arkansas in Tiger Stadium before winning, 42-17.

Very simple, got outplayed in every facet of the game, much like Alabama vs. Ohio State. The better team won that day!!!
