Disagree with last post. The programs are absolute equals.

Like it or not, Lsu is a step behind right now. Bama is 4-2 in the last 6 meetings and 2 titles in 3 years speaks for itself

The LSU Program is running neck and neck with Alabama right now. Bama may have the upper hand just based on the public perception from the national championship game. Of course the bama history is better, but as of right now, LSU is as big as Bama....

No way any Bama fan should be upset that LSU is just as good as they are. Only a idiot would think that we should be head and shoulders better than LSU. Only thing I hate about LSU is Les Miles. He basically gave the game away IMHO.

Come January Bama will have won 3 national titles in 4 years .. two undefeated and probably have yet another Heisman winner. They are quite superior to LSU right now, at least as far as accolades go. LSU has just as good players and coaches though, IMO. Better stadium as well.

I have a lot of respect for LSU's program.

However, to say they are neck-and-neck with Alabama right now is not accurate. Bama has won two national championships in three years and is undefeated this year.

We are 2-2 in SEC play in that timeframe.

What are your feelings about LSU and its program.

Good talent, avg coach

I think many LSU fans and Bama fans believed that after the NCG, Bama was making several strides forward and LSU was slipping. I think Sat. proved that wasn't the case.

One game will not alter my opinion on the direction of any program.

are you bummed that LSU is pretty much neck and neck with you and will be for quite a while?

Bama will be playing for their third National Title in four years, LSU has zero during that time span. Bama is undefeated(in regulation) during regular season four of the last five years, LSU once. I don't consider the programs neck and neck. I do consider LSU in top two or three in country though.

My favorite game of the year for the past two years. I enjoy having a rivalry of respect after years of hate with auburn and Tennessee.

Dude, you got a mulligan last year. Bama should NOT have even played in that game but props to winning it after campainging to get there. LSU/Bama are in the NC hunt every year as of late...yes, they are equal. And you haven't actually won it this year so let's see how that plays out...

I thinkthe game is great. I do not believe that anyone thinks the LSU program is slipping however and if they do they are idiots.

I said all week before the game and have for weeks that the LSU defefnse was probably the best defense in the nation. I still think that is true and I think LSU and Alabama are still the two best teams in the country right now.

I think the LSU/BAMA game is the best rivalry in college football today and possibly in the modern era. This game has major implications for both teams every year. Most rivalry games are just a chance for one team to spoil the others season but this game the winner has a shot at the NC.

I love this game. I was completely exhausted Saturday night when the game was over.

I think LSU and Bama fans all have this game circled before any other regular season game.

Absolutely not. Bama has won 2 NC's since LSU's last, and it looks like Bama will play for a 3rd this season.

LSU is a good program but they are not on Alabama's level. No one is, to be honest.

Hey, your team lost Saturday. That's more relevant now. Oklahoma State did not participate in a conference championship game. Oklahoma State had problems. You've got to beat the best to be the best. Oklahoma State would have been a good yet easier game. LSU was not the best team in the conference last season.

AJ couldn't hit the broad side of a barn most of the night, our defensive missed 100 tackles, and LSU's bum QB played one of the best games he'll ever play. Despite all the night, we beat the #5 team in the country. On the road. In Death Valley. On Saturday night. So no, not bummed at all. Frankly if we don't fumble a handoff exchange the game might have been put away in the third quarter. That was one of the most fun games I've been to, especially the last minute LSU has a great program and played an inspired game, anybody with a brain knows that.

Nice to see the Bama fans paying homage to our program. Sometimes we hate the gumps, but we respect them. Most storied program in CFB history and our program goes toe to toe with them consistently. No one else does this.

Sure they were...they were undefeated against the toughest schedule in the country and that includes the "vaunted, unbeatable bama". LSU won the SEC...just b/c Saban & ESPN campaigned for Bama to get in the NCG doesn't mean it should have happened. Answer this...why was it OK for Bama to win a NC for beating LSU once but LSU had to beat Bama twice to get the NC? That shite was arse backwards & I don't blame the players for not showing up.

I am not bummed LSU is alive and well..... as expected.

LSU was -never- on the way down. Jordan Jefferson sucked, and y'all may need more creativity on offense... but one game does not a program define!

I like LSU, and I like them kicking arse. Cept ours.

It's time to move on, we're 3/4 of the way through the next season. You'll be a happier person if you just accept it.

By the end of the season, Alabama will have won 3 national titles since LSU's last one. In terms of overall program strength, the two are not even close. Alabama/LSU is always a great game but the programs are not on the same level.

LSU is a class program and the difference is marginal. We will be fighting each other for a while.
