Isn't the Dallas metroplex bigger than the Houston one?

The problem with Dallas is those frickers in Ft. Worth won't just let you call them "Dallas." Get over yourself shitkickers.

On the other hand if you tell someone from Houston that Dallas is better they could not care any less.

I would agree with this. Dallas is much more concerned about its image than Houston.

Technically the Metroplex is slightly larger. Galveston was separated off from Houston a while back, and that pulled roughly a million people out of the Houston metro area.

Not sure why they do that to some metros (the Bay Area of California is probably the worst case scenario there) and not others like Dallas.

Both are massive cities. Anyone thinking that A&M doesn't need the DFW area are gravely mistaken. A&M's on the field success is almost directly related to how it recruits DFW. Houston recruiting is pretty consistent in good and bad eras.

We stink at every sport now. But I'm sure our true freshman QB and Center will lead us to victory against ND.

As elite as Texas has been and still can be, the last few years of Dodds as AD did real damage that will take a while to fix, and some of it never will be. He is the single biggest person that drove A&M to the SEC, and that was a tectonic shift in the landscape.

People from Houston can't shut the frick up about how much they think Dallas sucks.

Texas is only a year or 2 away

Mack left team pretty bare, Strong has had 2 solid top 10 classes, 1 more and the depth will be back

I mean.. considering they came from having a terrible year in the Big12 (a perceived worse conference) and moved to the SEC, beat Alabama, and had a freshmen heisman winner.. yeah. I'd say that is a good starting point

There are few things that can bring Aggies and Bayou Bengals together like a common contempt for whorns (and knowing our way around the energy industry). Pretty sure Hogs would jump in on that contempt thing, too.

Honestly, those of you more than one state removed from them will never appreciate what a cancer they are. Nebraska, Colorado, and Missouri can fill you in.
