Last year I used to hear y'all's band play Dixie (fast Dixie) pretty often. (Just hearing it in the background while watching y'all's games on tv) but I haven't heard it any this year. Did y'all quit playing it completely or did y'all slack back on it or something? Just wondering. It is a cool sounding tune.

bullshite remix version of it. I wish our fans would boo every time it is played.

They have different variations of it. My roommate was in the band for two years. There is one variation of it played during the fight song. Another played during I Saw The Light. There is also a variation of it with Swing Low. But they're not able to play From Dixie With Love anymore.

Yeah I knew they stopped Slow Dixie a few years ago but I know I heard fast Dixie on tv at their games last year. I'm gonna be listening for the remix that they started this year apparently. I haven't heard it yet.

That may be so but I still have heard it a gazillion times in the Grove this year. I'm sure this weekend will be no different.

It's a damn shame too. Beautiful song

I really wish Ole Miss would have never bent over for political correctness. They should have done like the Redskins and told the libtards to frick off

Honestly, they are just songs. This is a silly thread.

They play a "version" of From Dixie With Love. It's not the same as the old version played in the Grove around 2010 and before. In the slow version they have now, they play "Swing Low" which has the slow version of Dixie as well as America the Beautiful. It's how they get away with playing the song

Yes we still play fast Dixie. About 1-2 times per game, which is way less than we used to so it seems like it's probably being phased out.

And once again I see that people can't grasp the difference between From Dixie with love and regular old Dixie (fast Dixie)

And I know you're an alter, but whatever.

This is the song the OP is talking about, which we still play

Our own fans lump this is in with the banned FDWL for some reason. Not the same song.

Here's a better version of it

you seem like a bitter old man. You contribute nothing to conversations, all you do is bitch, complain and try to one up people.

PC police has destroyed Ole Miss's traditions. everything from Colonel Reb, Dixie with love and the rebel flag. People have claimed the words "Ole Miss", refers to a slave woman calling her master. I guess Ole Miss should bend over for this too. Do you see how stupid all this is? I don't care if it sounded racist, and how it looked racist. It wasn't and all they did was stroke the fat cats cocks up north to please them. They had zero clue about Ole Miss customs and traditions and they shite all over it and you people let them. but hey, congrats on the black bear.
