But the SEC Rant told me Brandon Harris is a horrible quarterback
I mean, as a passer he is below the average in the SEC.
That doesn't control for strength of opponents though.

according to those numbers he is basically average.

5. Lorenzo Nunez 154.8 vs UCF (146.5 avg)
and so....it begins....

Unless I counted wrong he is the 8th best passer(according to season avg) in the SEC which would put him...below the average.

C'mon man.
Statistically, he's well below the SEC average in all areas except completion percentage and rating. There's no denying that for us LSU fans.
However, he's doing what needs to be done with the opportunities that he's getting, and he's doing it well enough to win football games. There's no denying that for the rest of the SEC, though many of them will try.

LSU hasn't had a stat padding cupcake game yet though.

LSU is doing exactly what they should be doing offensively to win games.
I never thought I'd say that but they are and it's working for them.

Already acknowledged, keep up.

He's not being asked to do as much as other quarterbacks, but he has done everything that he has been asked to do. I wouldn't try to put him in the upper echelon on SEC QBs by any stretch, but if you have watched LSU play so far I don't know how you can say Brandon Harris is a bad QB. He has been perfectly adequate with his throws and when he's off he's off in a way that the DBs can't make a play on the ball.
For LSU's purposes that's really all we need this year. Now he will need to do more of that at some point and there will need to be a few wrinkles added here and there, but there is no reason at all to expect him to start slinging it around the yard like Danny Wurfell. I know that's the eye popping thing that the average fan likes to see, but it's just not necessary for LSU to win football games this year.

I, literally, said all of this with the second part of the post you quoted with 25% of the words....

Here's where I disagree with you. He'd done all that's needed so far. As I said in another thread, if the run game get's shut down then harris will need to step up. Not enough evidence that he will be able to do that yet.

He's going to throw his fair share of interceptions this year
Up until this week he had thrown 1 INT which was the result of a WR tipping the ball up. Even now he has a grand total of 3 in 4 games....I imagine it will be much less than 1 per game by the end of the season.....not bad considering the TD ratio....then again you have a QB the doesn't have as many yards completed as Kelly had in the 1st half last week so I know you wouldn't understand.

The thing is, he is doing enough. There's a reason teams aren't stacking 9 in the box and selling out to stop Fournette. They aren't because Harris has shown he can beat them with his arm and his legs, if they leave him unchecked.

no, but there's also no evidence that any defense will be able to shut our running game down either.

Is there sufficient evidence that he would NOT be able to do this?

You come off mad as frick in every single post you make.
It's pretty impressive.
ETA: I bet your temperament is similar to Booms. Do you walk around grimacing and snarling like I imagine you to?

I don't need to see a&m's punter throw 20 passes to know he isn't a good passer. That line of logic doesn't really work.

I think what we've seen so far would suggest that he could do it for a few drives or even a quarter and change, but that he would have a hard time if, for whatever reason, LSU needed to be a pass first offense for a full game or even a half.

Huh?
MSU which had just given up over 300 yards passing to USM....yes Southern Miss!
Auburn....yes Auburn, do they even know what a defense is this year?
Syracuse....the 94th ranked team in CFB
They may not np be a traditional cupcake but they are far from solid competition as proven by their collective performances this year.
