The Crystal Mett wants his nickname back....Oh wait, Brian Downing murdered that. Thanks a lot....Mettsiah it is...oh, well.

Seriously, IDGAF what happens to this guy as long as he never gets a book deal (excellent fark material). But the bullshite card his lawyer is playing is laughable.

"We should minimize Mr. Downing's charges because there are bigger fish to fry and no harm was caused because the drunk victim doesn't remember anything, except for the video of it broadcast to the entire world."

I have said from day one that NOPD had bigger things to worry about i.e. the murder rate.

Why is it so hard for you people to comprehend that the entire department isn't focused on this case?

Well it's clear these guys aren't involved in media relations. That was terribly written.

Should anyone be focused on this case? I'd rather they estimate how much tax money will be spent on this case and cut the victim a check for that amount for his troubles rather than wasting ppl's time.

Yes. It's comical that you think this act should go unpunished. I agree it's gotten more exposure than it should, but you can blame the media for that.

I know the whole department isn't focused on this case. You're not bringing any new info to the table.

You just posted that the police should worry more about the murder rate. Do you not understand that NOPD has different divisions?

No. He is vigorously advocating for a client who very clearly will never go to trial.

Not what he said, just what you took from it.

This really isn't a difficult case for the DA either because there's video of the incident, either.
