You think it's likely that aTm will go on the road and beat Alabama?

aTm had a better team two years ago. So did Alabama, but they are probably even more explosive offensively this year. Therefore, more apt to win a shootout if they need to.

Auburn, on the other hand, is a little hard to read right now. aTm could get them. But still, that game being at home should make them a slight favorite.

And personally, I see aTm getting beat this weekend in Starkville, so who knows where the Aggies will be at that point in the season.

I think it is expected for aTm to go 1-2 in these three road games.

They will look at 2012 as to why they will win at JHS.

Yes.

I disagree. I believe we have more depth now.

I agree that Bama is more equipped to hold their own in shootouts now than in years past, but I have to think that Sumlin and the Aggies would welcome a shootout. That's right in our wheelhouse.

Hey, I know our limitations

I do think we have shown improvement on the defensive side of the ball, though. And we without question have depth that we flat didn't have a year ago. Not the Wrecking Crew by any stretch, of course.

Hence, "adequate." And with an offense like ours, that could be sufficient.

I think Manziel's heroics and scrambling ability was a huge reason for the win in Tuscaloosa two years ago.

Hill is a great passer, but he doesn't have quite the playmaking ability. To be honest, I think he's a bit overrated and the system has made him look good against some lesser opponents.

This weekend is his first real test. State's secondary is not terribly strong and he should be able to lead the Aggies to 30-35 points against them. However, I don't believe aTm will be able to stop State. Dak is the best quarterback in the conference, IMO.

No argument here. What's underrated was his passing accuracy in that game. That is something that Kenny typically excels at. Plus, Hill is more likely to run the effective plays without bailing like Manziel was wont to do.

We'll have to agree to disagree on Hill being overrated. As for the "system," you could say it's made both qb's so far (kind of a trend for Sumlin's qb's, tbh). Where Johnny made something out of nothing with his feet countless times, Hill won't panic as quickly under pressure and that can stress a defense in different ways.

Gonna be a whale of a game. I gotta favor my boy Kenny but Dak can flat out ball, too.

I think both defenses will be shredded, but I don't think State will keep up with us when the chips are down in crunch time.

JMHO, but I know I can't wait to see this game.

Auburn will win the west. They will beat ole miss and bama, and I expect MSU to drop 2 games. Ole miss will have the one loss to Auburn and thus lose the tie break. However they could still see the final four.

MSU is not "last years auburn," theyre 2012 Texas A&M. 2 loss team with the heisman winner.

at this point I think we will likely see 2 losses from MSU and ole miss, bama and auburn play in the defacto sec ship again. the rest don't matter.

What? Granted, anything "can" happen. But, right now MSU is the best team in the SEC or at least playing the best ball.
Their only loss this year will be to the Hogs.
