LSU. They are average at best on offense and defense

With Brandon Harris at QB we look better than average, and when Welter and Martin are out on defense we have only given up 1 touchdown all year so if our coach figures these things out we will compete with anybody

On a related note: Remember when the consensus on the rant was that A&M would go somewhere between 5-7 and 7-5?

I tried to bump some of the season prediction threads, but there was a lock on them.

ummmm you are out of the woods yet Faggie. Who the hell have you played? Arkansas is your biggest win

And it went to OT

1. A&M 8-0
2. Auburn 7-1
3. Ole Miss 5-3
4. Alabama 5-3
5. State 4-4
6. Arkansas 2-6
7. LSU 1-7

I do think Harris potentially changes everything for LSU. It's too early to properly account for any difference he may make. He's not really faced a real defense in a pressure situation yet.

A&M. Who's going to shut A&M down or outscore them? The only teams with a decent offense and defense is AU, Bama, and OM. They seem to have Bama's number and Bama isn't as good as they've been in the secondary. OM and Auburn are the 2 that matches up well.

Arkansas nearly did, who many people consider to be the worst team in the West. They have to go to State, Alabama, and Auburn. I expect 2 of those to be losses. They'll drop a third somewhere. Probably 5-3 in conference.
quote:

Bama. They have a weaker defense than normal and trouble with the HUNH. A&M and Auburn are realistic losses with a fair shot at 1 of State, OM, or LSU upsetting them.

A&M and Auburn are both likely wins, seeing as they are home games. Alabama is the best team in the West.
quote:

LSU. They are average at best on offense and defense. They don't stand out on either side of the ball and are going to have their hands full with every team in the West. State looked to be their best match up and they lost to them. They can't stop the run so Arky, Auburn, and Bama are going to score on them. OM matches up better now than last year and A&M can't be shutdown by stopping JFF from running.

State our best matchup? They are really strong on both lines and play a pounding style on offense. That is far from the best matchup for LSU. In fact, it was a bad matchup for LSU. I'd say LSU matches up well with teams like aTm, Auburn, and Ole Miss.

TAMU has a stellar road record under Sumlin.

Wth no running game and a poor defense, the next three road games are probable losses.

Good thing TAMU has a solid RB stable and an adequate defense.
