Is that surprising? UT has a beast at QB, RB and a defense. I would be surprised if they don't make at a minimum the SEC ship.

Shocked the shite out of me. I think we're a good pick for the East but I don't think we're better than Alabama or LSU and think UGA will be a very tough game for us. I think it may be our trial this year instead of Florida. Most of us are expecting a 10-2 season.

We have no guaranteed losses this year imo but we also don't have guaranteed wins. What we do have is the firepower to compete with anyone but we're not alone in being talented by a long shot. I think Shoop is a home run hire that addresses exactly what we needed to address but I still question our WR corps as it has underperformed since Azzani arrived and is once again thin.

I think Vandy will go bowling. I think MSU and UGA will have a rough year, and I think Arky will struggle to get to a bowl game

You're a state fan and think we will have a rough year? I know we lose Dak but most of our backups are better than starters from last year. Backup qb from last year will be top 3 qb in league by end of year. Trust in Mullen

Agree with that, Prof. Tennessee's one major weakness is the lack of a downfield passing attack. That's going to be the difference in making the playoffs and winning 9 or 10 games imo. I think we are solid to loaded everywhere else.

If VOLS can throw over the top enough to keep the defenses honest, we will be a machine on offense with our running attack and offensive line

I'm an Ole miss fan actually, but

is an incredibly weird statement to make and

maybe if he stops popping pills

State will probably have the worst O-line in the West. That coupled with an inexperienced QB.. 8-4 is probably the absolute ceiling. I imagine 6-6, maybe 7-5

I'm really hoping that Preston Williams has his breakout year. He shined so much potential last year despite recovering from an ACL injury and missing out on practices due to the ACT-check. If we can get him or someone - anyone with some speed - to pair with Josh Smith that alone will boost the passing game.

Our WR corps had some key players who were slow as hell last season.

Clemson to open the season will definetly make or break us the thought of having to find a way to stop Watson literally gives me gas . if we get blown out of the water completely we'll probably be lucky to get another 6 wins. but if we somehow keep it close till the final whistle I think we could somehow end up in the 8/9 win range at the end of the season

Texas A&M will be the team. Mazzone and Chavis are one of the top coordinator duos in the league. Mazzone is a huge improvement over Spavital. Defense and offense will be better this year. Much deeper talent. Deep running back stable and first upperclassmen QB since A&M entered the league.

AU is always a good choice to exceed expectations, when nothing is expected of y'all. Knowing y'all, I wouldn't be surprised with a CFP run this year, followed by 7 wins next year.

Steele is bad. The whole situation (AU) will turn out to be a total shite show

You all say this every year. It wasn't true last year and it definitely isn't true thus year.

Josh Malone needs to get his shite together and become more reliable. He shows flashes of being a baller then just fricking disappers again for stretches.

I hope some of these incoming WR croots are legit. Callaway seems like he's got potential and the little 3* we flipped from Miami seems to have a set of wheels.

He wouldn't be the first very talented WR we had that waited until his junior year to break through but I agree he's been frustrating to watch at times and a lot of it is because he's so damned talented yet so damn hot and cold.

I think Preston has been good for the group beyond just a talent perspective - he brings an attitude that the WR corps desperately needed. Also, Jennings brings a level of toughness I love and I hope the reps he got last season will help him with the learning curve of being new to the position.

Well, sort of. I think we are definitely in the top 3 in terms of talent in the conference. I was just a little shocked reading that from a non Tennessee fan on here tbh

UT will be a Top 5 team in the nation and absolutely has enough to beat Bama. You gave them a battle last year. People are underestimating the amount of talent on that squad. I'm a bit of a realist and I recognize that UT has returned to a much more 90s version of themselves. To be honest, with the UT running game and a very strong defense. You have to potential to win not just the SEC but the entire thing.
