My personal belief is that AU will be that team and here is why. Auburn has talent across the board. Period. They always have talented teams. Last year they failed to meet expectations after being ranked pretty high and the QB problems really bit them hard. After reviewing the SEC rosters I just feel like AU is kind of the forgotten team and will be better than advertised. I predict they finish above Ole Miss.

Ole Miss is my prediction to fall out of the Top 25. With the pending NCAA investigations and punishment looming I think they implode and lose 5-6 games.

I'm going to go bold and pick Vanderbilt. They have a solid defense and a good RB and at least a pulse on offense. Everyone is putting them last in the East but I think they can realistically finish as high as 4th if they have decent QB play and a few lucky breaks. I've lost faith in Stoops at Kentucky, SC needs some recruiting cycles to recover their roster, and Mizzou is still a huge question mark on offense although I think their young QB has potential he's almost alone out there and needs some serious help from their OL and WRs.

This is the biggest myth of the offseason. Didn't Auburn go undefeated or have 1 loss round '93 on probation with a post-season ban?

If they get banned from postseason they have nothing to lose correct?

Right now, the investigation is still looming.

They always seem to give us a good game but I still feel like UK has a better roster. I would think UK has a chance to do some work if they step up but you might be right.

I really want UK to make a bowl but they've disappointed me so many times it's hard to pick them. Although I do agree that between the two they have the better roster, I'm not sure the talent is at the right spots or in enough spots to have an impact yet.

Agree with both of your predictions.

Non-homer pick: Kentucky. Don't think they'll be great, but they have some decent players and Vandy, Mizzou, and USCe will all suck IMO. Finishing 4th in the East is very doable for them and idk if many people are predicting much out of them.

Just about everybody else I see finishing at or below expectations.

Yeah I don't see a lot of teams coming out of nowhere but I do feel like UT has the best team in the SEC and it's going to be a dog fight between UT, Bama and LSU. 3 loaded rosters but I feel like AU has one of those rosters capable of coming out of nowhere and being really good and really dangerous. I would feel the same way about UGA if we had a healthy Chubb but right now I am not so sure and won't be until we see.

I would say Auburn, but if Clemson blows them out, they might get the blahs.

Is that surprising? UT has a beast at QB, RB and a defense. I would be surprised if they don't make at a minimum the SEC ship.

I think AU can compete but Clemson is loaded. That's a very rough first game but if they can compete in the game it will go along way toward confidence. UGA lost 2 games to start the season a few years ago and it made us a better team because we had nothing to lose and we reeled off 10 straight so sometimes losses can loosen a team up.

If Kelly stays healthy, I find it highly unlikely Ole Miss loses 5-6 games.

Is he hurt again? Damn, that's rough. Y'all will already have enough to overcome with a first year HC and probable true freshman starting QB. I figured yalls RBs and what I assume will be another good UGA defense would be what y'all would lean in Smart's first year.

Really depends on the Oline but yes Kelly is really good. That being said, they play a lot of good teams this year. Could easily lose that many if they don't play well. That being said, I just can't stand Ole Miss so I hope they lose 20 games.

Auburn will win the SEC. Carl Lawson will be game changer along with rest of d line. That is what wins big boy football games. State won't be picked high but we will have best qb in league by end of the year, probably an average year though 9-10 wins

No he's not hurt again. Just wondering if he will be the same. Keith Marshall never really recovered from his knee injury so i'm cautiously optimistic and at this point we don't even know if he will be ready for the first game.

Chubb is such a freak that even if he's not 100% of his old self he'll still be one of the best RBs in the country. Between him and Michel I wouldn't worry too much.

Well, sort of. I think we are definitely in the top 3 in terms of talent in the conference. I was just a little shocked reading that from a non Tennessee fan on here tbh

I'm going with Mizzou, their front 7 is loaded once again with NFL talent and I think Lock will be the break out QB in the SEC. Their O-line and skill position players are major question marks but I think they will be better than advertised, also watch out for the Razorbacks.
