No, it's not at all. In fact, since the first expansion in 1992 it along with OM-Vandy are the two most lopsided permanent cross division rivalries.
Since 1992:
MSU-16 UK-8
OM-16 Vandy-8
UF-14 LSU-10
Arkansas-13 USCe-9
Bama-13 UT-10 tie-1
UGA-13 Aub-10 tie-1
So in fact it would be an upset. Know your facts. It also hasn't been close as State has won 5 of the last 7 by double digits. 11 of State's 16 wins in this period have been by double digits. In comparison, UK has only beaten MSU by double digits twice(02,03). So, by using facts(what?facts?)this is actually the most lopsided permanent cross division rivalry.

App State over Miami or GT over Clemson. Those weird midweek games tend to throw the favorites off once in awhile.
Why is Miami playing a game at Appalachian State?

If we're 1-2 going into that game, Georgia will be the favorite.

I'm going to go Ole Miss over Memphis. I think the Rebs knock off the Tigers in Oxford.

I was going to say this as well. I don't know how much of an upset everyone would see this as, but I think there is a very good chance this happens.
I upvoted you, brother.

LSU over Bama in a match-up of undefeated teams. Arkansas and aTm over LSU sending Bama to the SECCG.

Everyone would just turn and look at each other for 5 minutes to make sure it really happened. That would be a true upset

He is right . Since 92, State hold a 16-8 lead. State hold the lead 22-21 all- time.
