Prayers for USC Baseball Commit - Brett Williams

Just received word through a friend that White Knoll High School (Lexington, SC) baseball player, Brett Williams, who just signed committed to Coach Holbrook on 1/5/17 passed away. He went into the hospital this weekend with the flu.
Unimaginably tragedy for someone who had an extremely bright future ahead.
Certainly puts things into perspective.

My daughters Physical Therapist passed away under the same circumstances.
Whatever is going around this year is not just a flu/cold virus.

Was it swine flu or something in addition to the flu? I have never heard of a perfectly healthy athletic teenager dying from the flu.

Went in with the flu, developed into pneumonia. Died from complications (liver failure).

There is a bad bug going around that is resistant to just about every antibiotic they throw at it. It's popping up everywhere.
Google it ... no one is exempt. You get it you may die.
Kid was a great kid too. It's a real shame. His poor family is devestated.
