I go to school in Murray, because it has the top program for my field, in the country. You are right, it's a small town. I've been to fayetteville, which is no thriving metropolis by any means.

I've lived in College Station, Houston, Chicago, Paducah (KY) and Murray.

I was speaking collectively on your state, which has brought the world: Walmart, Tyson Chicken, and Bill Clinton. Congratulations on going to the flagship school of the 49th best state in the union.

For the life of me, I don't understand why Arkansas won't just embrace the Mizzou game rather than attempt to keep an LSU/A&M rivalry from forming. Arkansas/Mizzou and A&M/LSU makes a whole lot more sense, geographically. Houston is the hub of the LSU/A&M activity. That's just not going to happen for Arkansas and LSU.

Mizzou, on the other hand, makes a ton of sense as a geographical rival for Arkansas.

Besides that, there really isn't any way to keep an LSU/A&M rivalry from forming. It's going to happen. If we suck for a long time, it will slow things down, but it won't stop it. And A&M won't suck forever. Too many resources. Too many recruits.

You will continue to SUCK because no other Major University has done So Little with So Much for So Long than A&M. Even when you got great Recruits you still found a way to SCREW it UP! You will continue to Screw it up, that is just what Aggies do. The name of your coach does not matter. Even Bear Bryant couldn't get it done there.

The Aggies have matched up against the LSU Tigers more than any other non-conference opponent (though they were both members of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Association from 1903–1908 and 1912–1914). The Aggies first played the Tigers in College Station in 1899, winning the game 52–0. The Tigers are the Aggies' seventh-oldest collegiate-football rivalry. Per Wikipedia, growing up as an astros fan made this rivalry worse. I am glad it is coming back.

It has nothing to do with embrace and has everything to do with the last game of the year meaning something and having major implications for the winner.

Personally, I don't care when Arkansas plays LSU because a win will count the same. However, LSU obviously wanted an easier team to finish with and A & M fits that bill. By default, Arkansas will also finish with a much easier team when we play the paper Tigers. Both games will be very anticlimactic especially when Arkansas will have already beaten both more times than not.

About the only thing riding on the LSU / A & M game at the end of the year will be to decide which team goes to a 2nd tier bowl and which team goes to a 3rd tier bowl.
