For whatever the hell its worth, ESPN rationalized the our seeding along the lines of us having an RPI top 5 win where Arkansas doesn't have a top 25 one.

And Arkansas lost to Mizzou.

Their words, not mine

Sure, but seems like that should mostly be accounted for in the overall RPI. There is an argument for SC ahead of Arkansas, but I don't see how it could be a 6 vs 9 seed difference

Not how RPI works. Actually kind of a criticism of RPI tbh

Illinois State might get in. Monmouth and Bucknell wouldn't

Hell, any one of us that can't field a team that can qualify for a 68 team tournament should just shut the program down. It's just unbelievable.

Except it isn't really 68 spots. It's 32 open spots.

Only 5? you been paying attention the last 7-8 years? I bet the average is around 2.5

I just checked out of curiosity.

You guys went from 5.5/12 teams making the tournament to 3.5/14 teams making the tournament.

The SEC was doing better than the ACC in basketball for a stretch then you guys started to decline in 2009. Did the SEC lose a bunch of coaches that year?

Probably win the SECT.

I still think you are greatly underrating Vandy at this point. Most brackets have them in, doesn't mean anything yet but would be stunned if they weren't in after making the semi's and they have a decent chance if they just make the quarter's. I understand their loss total is weak but there are other reasons why most brackets have them in atm.
