Taking in account Alabama's 5 national championships to Florida's three as well
Most importantly Alabama had a horrible period while Florida did not
Has there been a changing of the guard in the SEC since the championship game went in effect

If you take a look at the results since 92 you will be surprise
If you just take a look just at the Saban years it does look like a joke

If, in 80 years, Florida is sniffing anywhere close to the success that Alabama has had in their history, I will be absolutely thrilled. They are the class of the SEC and what every program wishes they could be. Florida is off to a good start for the last 24 years, but they need about 15 championships in the next 80 years to take Bama's throne as the class of the SEC.

Terrible timing for you to ask this question / insinuate that Florida has taken over Alabama as the top team in the SEC. Since the last time Florida won an SEC Championship (2008) Alabama has:

4 SEC Championships
4 National Championships
Beaten Florida 5 straight times with an average score of 34.4 to 13 with two of those wins in the SECCG.

If there was a changing of the guard, then it has most certainly changed back.

1992-present

Alabama 6 SEC titles
Florida 7 SEC titles

Alabama 5 national titles
Florida 3 national titles

Alabama is 9-6 head to head since 1992, with a five game steak currently.

Aside what Alabama's down period, what other evidence suggests Florida has overtaken anything? Especially considering Alabama's historical value.

If a FL fan had started this thread I can see why you guys would be so quick to defend your immense pride in 18-21 year old kids playing football. But, a FL fan did not.

It's a discussion board to, you know, discuss things. Nothing wrong with answering the OPs questions with some facts.

Agreed

Since 1992 (SEC Split) Bama is top dog in the SEC, followed by UF.

Some things just don't need discussed. They need ignored.

This was one of them. That's just my opinion.

What difference does the OPs school affiliation have to do with the thread? The guy asked a question and was shown/told differently by fans from a variety of schools, including Fla.

Cool, ignore away. It's probably a better topic than 1/2 on the SECRant right now.

Even up through the 2010 season, you could of easily made an argument for that. Now, you are easily laughed at.

What about overall record and SEC record since the 1992 expansion

More importantly average finish in the polls

You are bringing up Bama accomplishments over a small period since 1992
