I like them both. Very entertaining and informative. Loved the SECCG with them.
I can't stand, and have to mute the telly, when Musberger or Lou Holtz are talking. They're both so old that even their voices have gotten wrinkles.

Verne is comic relief.
Danielson tends to pick one team early in the game and blow them for the rest of the game.

Despise Verne. I cannot understand how he still has a job. He is so biased calling games and he is drunk most of the time or maybe just senile.

Verne - ok (IMO, Ron Franklin was the gold standard.)
Danielson - really like. Very insightful. He and Blackledge are the best.
Disclaimer: I don't get ruffled by the announcers; just not a big deal with me. Surprised that some are so annoyed by Verne.

I'm not annoyed by him, but like you said, he's just ok. I feel like the CBS game could be better, considering the amount of ads.

I like both of them. Yes, Verne makes a ton of mistakes always goes to the well with "WOW" and "OH MY" but he still does a fairly good job with the general playcalling duties.
I know Danielson gets a lot of hate, but he's really fantastic at providing insight and good overview of what's happening from a schematic standpoint. Sometimes he'll even call plays before they happen (Bama's screen pass against LSU last year) and always gets penalties correct.

I'm only 29, so Verne and Gary sort of are the faces of the SEC to me, especially in the recent era of dominance. Seeing them on the telecast sort of legitimizes a big game.

Franklin was fantastic. I hate what happened to him. He was a natural and had a great voice for the telecasts and was great at keeping up with the action.
Blackledge and Nessler are the best team, IMO. Both of those guys are great, and they complement each other well.

Danielson is as good of a college sportscaster as anyone. Verne is just Verne. Kind of like your aging uncle.

I don't really like either of them, but CBS broadcasts won't be the same when they're eventually replaced. To me, it's become tradition that the 2:30 game is Verne and Gary

Danielson is the best color analyst in college football and Lundquist is...well....confused.

It always seems like it's the first game for Verne and he has never seen football before and is just amazed by its spectacle. And Gary is having to teach him about it every week.
