I mean in that scenario it's entirely possible none go as of today.

Could have an undefeated:

ND
B1G Champ
Pac 12 champ
ACC champ (FSU probably or Miami?)
Big 12 champ
1 loss SEC champ

That's why it's impossible to say in September. In September last year, I truly believed OSU wasn't a top 25 team

i think the big 10, pac, and SEC are all locks with a 1 loss champ

ACC and big 12 are fighting it out with a one loss champ for spot 4

big 12 probably gets the edge if they name an actual champion this year and that 1 loss ACC team isnt ND (who i am counting as ACC for the purposes of this argument)

The SEC will never have 2 teams in again.

If there is an undefeated and 1 loss SEC team but all other conference champs plus notre dame have 2-3 losses I don't see how you couldn't have 2 SEC teams.

That's a very unlikely scenario but UGA would go. They had a beatdown of the SEC West champion who was undefeated at the time, are a conference champion, and have wins over Florida and GA Tech as well.

Why is that an unlikely scenario?

Nearly the exact scenario played out in 2011 except UGA had 2 losses going into the SECCG instead of one... and didn't win the game.

Well, A&M doesn't have a big win on their resume and would beat every team they have remaining. If that happens, they're much better than most people think. Then they get blown out by UGA in the conference title game?

Also, that metric has A&M and LSU beating Alabama, but Alabama winning on the road at UGA who goes undefeated otherwise, including a blowout of undefeated A&M.

Ole Miss is the No. 3 team in the country, beat the Alabama team that unseats the hypothetical almighty UGA, but they lose games at home to A&M and LSU.

Just some points on why it is so unlikely.

Damn. Well you analyzed the shite out of that. You changed my mind. I now agree with you that it is a very unlikely scenario.

But looking at each of those games individually, I could see them going either way. But yes, as a parlay, unlikely.

Yeah it wasn't meant as a slight at any individual team, it would just be really strange if all that happened in one year. We will find out a lot about who will go to the playoff from the SEC when Bama plays UGA, A&M plays Ole Miss, then what happens with Ole Miss and LSU in those final two weeks of the year.
