Fournette did it right after, just got lucky and had a teammate fall on it.

My point is he, as a freshman, earned PT in a very deep WR Corps. Cooper on the other hand didn't in a less deep WR corps 2 years ago. So if we compare Speedy to Cooper of 2013, Speedy wins a in landslide and you'd be laughed off the board if you said otherwise. So once again the comparison to Roland makes zero sense.

Yes that's a massive gap. Roland missed 5games as a freshman and ended the season with 356yds on 26 rec and 4 tds. Speedy better dig a little deeper

Look just because A&M throws 500 million times a game does not mean we have a less deep receiving core. If speedy was able to get 580yds as a freshman then that must mean your starting receiving core wasn't that experienced doesn't mean you were more deep at the position. There's a reason pharoh didn't bust 1100yds or 500 as a freshman it was because we had experienced receivers.

uhhh he only had 5 receptions and 80 yards his freshman year. what the frick are you looking at?

THIS year he ended up with 356 yards on 26 receptions. thats ok i guess for a third year player but speedy already has that beat in his first year playing as a full time receiver

What are you even talking about? He had 5 catches for 80 yards and 1 TD.

I wasn't even comparing him to Roland anymore because it was so obvious it was a shite comparison. I was to Cooper who had 3 catches for 54 yards as a freshman.

Why is it so damn hard to get it through your mind that Speedy is projecting to be very good. Read my original post, praising Cooper. He's thus far our preformed Cooper.

No it's not really a shite comparison at all. Roland has all the talent in the world but does stupid shite LIKE SPEEDY NOIL is all I'm getting at. No need to pop a blood vessel. I'm going to stop now as I have obviously hurt your feelings since you had to start cursing on an Internet forum lol

Comparing them as freshmen is dumb. USC may have had better receivers who blocked cooper's playing time, or a more run based offense. 3 or 4 years ago is a long time in college ball. Just my 2 cents

Anyone who is trying to claim that Noil is the better athlete than Cooper is just trolling this thread for trollings' sake.

All this because Noil plays a little STs due to his speed? Cooper has been a regular STs player since joining USC as well, but I don't see Noil passing or rushing for any TDs (something Cooper did his freshman season with limited playing time).

Both play WR and kick return duty. Noil had one rush attempt last season. Cooper has 3 rushing TDs and 3 passing TDs, and has a package specifically for him in the Wildcat as the QB.

And all this when he was recruited to USC as a DB. Noil is a fast receiver, and that's it. Fast receivers usually can do well as kick returners too, because there they are required to receive the kick, and then run fast. But that's a world away from being capable at playing as a RB, a QB, or a DB in the secondary.

Pharoh runs circles around Speedy as an ATH. Sorry...
