And one of Minkah's PR touchdowns was a blocked punt he took back like 10 yards with nobody around.

Possibly. But I didn't see the need in saying that. They were having a civilized discussion before you got your jimmies rustled.

And that's great, but how does that help his case as a superior CB?

That whole post with relevant information and argument, and you choose the one bit with nothing to do with the subject of this thread? Typical Bama fan

Minkah wasn't a corner. Isn't a corner. Hump is and was better and is better than any DB at AU.

I've already addressed the CB issue 3 times in this thread. If you'd read through it you'd see that and understand why I didn't regurgitate things.

Can't see the forest for the trees. Typical Auburn fan

Lol at the Bama fans in here swallowing the AU hook. The PFF nerds watch all the film and have all the best words, just accept that Davis had a better year as a true corner.

Minkah had some struggles in coverage from time to time. I think he had some plays where it showed he was a Freshman. But he also is one of those guys that made big plays. Those kind of guys aren't coached how to be big in big moments, it just happens.
Davis could be that way too, I'm just not sure. I didn't watch AUs D much.
I think Davis has the opportunity to make more tackles just because Bama's DL and LBs stop most running plays before they RB gets into the defensive backfield.

The thing I liked about Davis was Auburn stuck him out on a island and he seemed to play confidently, even after getting beat. That's hard to do as a true freshman, and one of those things I think Auburn is really going to miss without Muschamp. He is really good at coaching kids to play that way.

More like typical Au fan. I stated nowhere one was superior. I said Davis was pretty damn good. Simply I'd take Minkah. Sorry being more versatile and contributing in more ways to the team fit my reasons. But keep on feeling slighted and show your lil bro mentality and ignore that I acknowledged a kid was pretty talented on your team. #auinsecure

Fitzpatrick and Tolliver were pretty clearly the two best freshmen corners last year in the SEC IMO.

Toliver is a stud, but he's a man cover corner who was put in zone a lot last year because Steele is garbage.

He's going to be very good this year, IMO.

ETA: Unfortunately for AU, Davis will be dropping into zone coverage quite a bit this year too.

Again.. Fitz wasn't a corner. He was the nickel, and probably will be there most of the time this season too.

Not directing that to you RB

I've got Bevis rustled in the UA/LSU/UT talent thread. Mosey on over.
