frick sympathy. They were pointing and laughing as well, though deserved, at our misfortunes with Kiffin and Pearl. It makes me smile to see another fanbase share the hurt, ESPECIALLY this fanbase who speaks at though they shite gold and have won several championships.

The only sympathy i'm dishing out is to petrino's family and the the soon to be ex-fiance.

Welcome to mediocrity land, Hogs. We have a seat saved for you.

Meh, I'm obviously upset with what happened, but I really hold no ill will towards Petrino. He made a mistake and paid the price for it. Now both sides have to move on. I hope everything works out for him and his family, and I hope everything works out for us.

to the rest of the SEC. 8-4 next year with a bowl loss comin' right at ya...

Kiffin was as self-inflicted on the Vols as Petrino was on Arkansas. Bad character is immutable - if it gets bad enough, the only questions are, "How long will it be before his poor character damages his program and just how much damage will that be?" You hire a guy like that ONLY as a calculated risk and ONLY if you have a good chance of reaping more than you have to pay out.

The worse the character, the bigger the risk - the better the coach, the more reward if it works out. Petrino is a really good coach with really poor character. We almost hired him.

Petrino and Kiffin are in a league of their own. USCw will suffer as well - the only questions are "When?" and "How much?"

Which was? Not to salt your wounds, but other coaches can take you where BP tool you. Arky fans are confusing where they thought BP was going to take them with where he actually did take them.

Whether you want to admit it or not BP accomplished a lot at Arkansas. Things that hadn't happened in 40 or so years and certainly not since joining the SEC. His tenure got the fans excited again and allowed for huge facility upgrades that would have never happened under the previous coach. I'm not convinced Ark can find someone as good or better than him, but we will see.

At this point Im 99% sure bobby has some personality disorder. He seems like a sociopath to me with his wildly selfish actions over the course of his public career. I don't see how anyone could believe a word he says.

Petrino issues statement

Accountability is nice. Doesn't change a thing, but it's a nice press release.

Best of luck to him in all he does. I sincerely hope he finds peace and grace. The U of A did the right thing because Bobby P did the wrong thing. I'm not inclined to hold grudges and wish the man ill. I hope he can get himself straightened out with those that matter most to him.

Meanwhile, I hope the Hogs land the perfect coach and move forward.

best summation of a bad situation ever.

It's a good statement. What the hell else can he say and hope the best for future employment?

Still kind of surprised. He's the best coach they'll ever have.

All this tells me is that Russ Campbell (agent) can write a nice statement...

I thought Bobby Petrino did an excellent job at Arkansas. Many days I wished he was our head coach and because of him, Arkansas is relevant again. The best thing for Arkansas to do is finish the season with an intern head coach and sort through the names at the end of the season. As far as Petrino goes, he will become a head coach again but unlikely at any premire schools. My bet is that he becomes an OC somewhere in the near term before coaching at some mid-major or division II school.

Razorback nation....everything will be ok. As much as I want to laugh at y'all, I won't. I've trolled y'all hard over the years because y'all worshipped scum. Hopefully Ar-Kansas has learned how to interview coaches. LSU certainly learned a lesson from Saban and now we have a great coach of moral integrity.

As to Bobby Petrino.....

HA HA!!!!!
