OK Hawg fans; put away the pity party and go hire Gus. Ya'll don't need a lot of heavy-handed coaching at this point but you do need somebody around whom the team can rally. You've got my Tigahs and Bama coming to town this year. You're being rated a Top 10 team. If ya'll can put up with Gus' ol lady, he can keep you competitive. You've got a classy AD. I wish we could steal him.

What exactly did he accomplish? His SEC record was average. You finished 2nd in the west once and never finished the season any higher than the 3rd highest ranked SEC team. I for one think Ark can and will be seen as a better program for getting rid of this douche bag.

Agreed,Petrino accomplished nothing other than beating Tennessee twice when their program was short of players due to Kiffin's recruiting thugs. I hate that he left because his poor recruiting was going to become evident in the next few years.I stll think Arky will lose at least three games this year regardless of the coach. They don't have the talent and depth that conference contenders need.

I was informed in writing today at 5:45 p.m. that I was being terminated as head a-hole at the University of Arkansas. The simplest response I have is: I’m horny. These two words seem very inadequate. But that is my loins (wink). All I have been able to think about is the number of people who have gone down and bent over in so many positions. I’ve taken a lot of Cleveland Steamers in the past. Some smoked, some not. This time, I have one for you…

Has anyone talked about this part yet?
Is he claiming that the 'relationship' was over before the motorcycle ride?
Then, if so, why were the joyriding again?

Petrino’s agent’s biggest regret this morning has to be that Mike Hamilton is out of the profession...

I couldn't care less at this point. I feel like a fool. I fell for it. The perceived sincerity, the perceived loyalty. He truly is BMFP. Thanks to where he took us, and screw him for where he left us.

Best of luck to him in all he does. I sincerely hope he finds peace and grace. The U of A did the right thing because Bobby P did the wrong thing. I'm not inclined to hold grudges and wish the man ill. I hope he can get himself straightened out with those that matter most to him.

Thats just it Ben. Nobody matters to him but himself. Thats what happened here.

the opportunity to serve as the head football coach at the University of Arkansas for the past 4 years. I was not given an opportunity to continue in that position.

Not GIVEN an opportunity? Shouldn't that read "I did not DESERVE an opportunity to continue in that position"? Well, at least it's obvious who wrote this statement.

One of the hog posters were saying that the fiancé caught them in the act, chased him down and caused him to wreck his motorcycle. She ran to help him (why she had no injuries) and the blah blah. Idk how true that is, but apparently the fiance knew.

I read that, but it makes ZERO sense. How'd she get there? Did she run/walk the whole way? I highly doubt she rode in the car with her fiance, and her car wasn't at the scene.

This conspiracy theory has no legs to stand on IMO.

I, for one, want a timeline of exactly when the boning started, the payment(s), hiring, fiancee finding out, the crash.

That would be cool.

To paraphrase BP, "I want that opportunity".

no, he is claiming the relationship ended with the crash.

his bad decisions after that were lying to Long and the University (and the media, and causing the administration to lie to the media). he apparently only admitted the passenger/affair to Long about 30 minutes before it was hitting the press via the police report.

That's a hell of a way to end a relationship.
I wonder if Jessica feels that was the end also?

So many questions....

Do you have a link? If it's the same old "it's common knowledge in BR" line, spare the BS and STFU. Your coach does just as much shite behind closed doors as other coaches. May not be an affair or anything like that but Im sure he isnt a saint. You might as well get off your high horse now before a story breaks and you fall and bust your arse.

Just because you're a thug pos doesn't mean every person is.
