I'll say it again...who gives a frick...you know what winning does, makes trival things like "appearance" go away. So long as he wins i'll take a bunch of whinny posters and radio callers acting as though it's some sort of personal transgression against them.

Now if he loses, i take it all back and flip sides.

I'll be with the UF fans in Miami celebrating our BCSNCG win over some inferior team.

They want to win. Petrino is he only coach that sould start NOW and work on recruiting.

And yes they will sell their soul again for no return

I don't think I'll listen to a morality talk from a school that had Meyer as their HC.

Auburn is never going to win the PR case. The school, and JJ, are too passive when it comes to dealing with PR, we are somewhat more proactive than before but not like we should be.

Also winning has a way of making that go away. Notice how no one talks about how Saban is scum and treated his players like crap in the news anymore? See any talk about Saban's highest paid coach contract that he could walk away from and still be paid in full even if he was busted paying players peronsally and got UA the death penalty? Nope you don't.

The Alabama press will never give AU the slide like they do UA and Saban but if AU hired Petrino and started going to Atlanta a lot and BCS bowls in 2-3 years you'd hear about what a great hire it is.

Also hate to break it to people but as much as CFB is personal to fans it is a business. UA proved a sound hire can turn around a business, same with AU.

I'm not sure if we will go with Petrino but he deserves a strong look.

If they could land Smart, it would be a home run, IMO.

No...just no. I would pull my TUF money as fast as you can blink your eye. The guy has absolutely no coaching experience. He needs to go to at least a mid-major before we would even consider him.

OK, you got me. That was a brain fart. I didn't mean Smart. I meant to write Strong. Don't know how that happened.

FWIW, I think Strong is a home run hire for anyone in the SEC. Smart, not so much. Smart may be a great HC one day, but no one knows this now. Strong, on the other hand, has proven he is a pretty good HC.

Maybe it will be a good hire for a while. But Petrino will end up hosing AU in the end like he always does.

Auburn has always been a bunch of damn cheaters (but they had to cheat because Bammers are bigger cheaters). That said, we'd take BMFP back in a heart beat.

Does Auburn want a coach that has proven he can't beat Nick Saban?

He didn't say Les Miles.

Actually, without looking, Les may be the only SEC coach with a .500 record against Saban. What is Petrino's record against Saban? Just wondering.

Perhaps you want to reconsider your statement?
