Even for a team that has clearly been the most dominant of any team in the last six years, two losses isn't unheard of. Two losses isn't exactly the wheels falling off. The SEC is pretty damn good.

People thought OU was a cupcake for Bama. Bama lost. Therefore, cupcakes do not equal easy wins for Bama up until the Auburn game (based on very recent history).

Spousal abuse would increase 100 fold in the state of Alabama with 2-3 SEC losses for the Tide.

The thing is people are going to act like this is some really out there prediction - but it happens 50% of the the time. Going 10-3 or 11-2 is still an outstanding season people.
If he wanted to make an aggressive prediction about Lane damaging the locker room chemistry he should predict 4 plus losses

You can make a case for every team in the league losing 2-3 games this year.
