I think they win the natty this year or the next, and it's solely because of Kiffin.

He obviously hasn't seen the schedule. Everyone is a cupcake up until Auburn.

This simply isn't true. The schedule sets up nicely, but there is still a point in the year where you are on the road for 4 out of 6 weeks. That's not going to be a cakewalk.

Out of all the things you mentioned pass rush will be the least of our concerns. Hopefully.

I think the pass rush can be nasty, I just have to see it with my own eyes. It's been hit and miss over the Saban era and there hasn't been that one guy you have to game plan for.

Who is Pete Roussel, and how is his opinion more valid than anyone else's?

I'd tend to agree with whoever this Pete Roussel is - at least about Bama possibly losing 2 games this season.... But, when he says

Kiffin will cancer that locker room and coaching staff.
He lost all credibility (if he ever had any) he may have ever had.

Who is Pete Roussel

He's a guy who coached at a GA level in college and parlayed those contacts (limited at the time) along with those of his brother into a coaching search business. He was on Pat Sullivan's staff at Samford and Pat told him to take a hike. He helps coaches with their resumes (or used to, at least) and attends a lot of camps. He went to school with the Mannings and uses that for all it's worth. He also bartended for a while after his coaching "career" ended.

He and his brother have a bit of a feud over their coaching contacts and the businesses they've built as a result of them - the vast majority of which are at low level schools.

Can he shake a good martini? That's the question that must be asked.

That's fair. I think he loses them at least 1 game, likely 2. The inexperience at QB loses them at least 1 more. I think they lose 2-3.

So he thinks Alabama will have 3 losses to themselves this year?

I think every team has some weaknesses and loses 2 or 3. One team will likely surprise though and lose 0-1. I am going with South Carolina on that one this year

Picking Bama to go 10-2 is not outlandish as most Bama fans would predict that record. So meh. Additionally, there's not a team in the sec this year that couldn't easily drop 2-3 games if things don't go well for them. Bama will be one of the 3-4 sec teams in the hunt this year, just like every year.

Dude is super knowledgeable and always makes interesting points that I haven't heard before. I can totally see Clemson making a run, they've been on the verge the past few seasons
