Saban is pushing rule changes for a reason, and I can assure you, it's not because he isn't worried about Auburn.

So, when he mentioned this two years ago, it was because he was worried about Auburn now?

Oooooookay.

Auburn didn't choke. Florida State was the better team.

Don't laugh too hard. This almost happened in the early 80s over tv revenues. Vince Dooley and Georgia lead a revolt that established the college football association (CFA) in order to negotiate separate tv contracts.

When you're up 21-3 toward the end of the half and end up losing you're a choker, no matter who the better team is.

I thought an LSU fan wanting to go to the Big 12 was hilarious. You have taken idiocy to a new level.

Okay so he MENTIONED it two years ago but that's it..

Two years later, after he has been shredded by A&M (twice) and couldn't stop Auburn (and they took his spot in the big dance), he's taking action, not just mentioning it.

Say what you want, and I'm sure it will be some close minded delusional crap, but Saban knows his defensive style doesn't match up well with that offense and knows more and more people will begin to use it to beat Bama.

Or maybe, to start, FSU was choking on such a big stage and Auburn was used to it, I mean Auburn had just beaten the #1 team (Alabama) and the #4 team a few weeks prior.

Upvote. Neither team played their best game, but Florida State ended up on top. Who in that program or on that team has had a taste of success prior to the BCS Championship Game? Florida State hadn't won a national championship in 14 years.

Please be better than this. He made clear THEN that he thought the HUNH increased the opportunity for player injury then, just as he has NOW.

As it happens, I don't care about the rules change. But to say that he is only advocating a rules change because of AU or TAMU is absurd.

So there is a move on for Auburn to leave the NCAA and take A&M with them.
Have I got that right.
Let's all pool our lose change and buy OP a buss ticket to the place he wants his school to go.

Auburn could join the Alabama High School Athletic Association, I'm guessing as a Class 6 school. You'd be competitive, although I don't think Auburn could hang with Hoover year-in and year-out.

I doubt University Presidents would allow semi-pro teams operating on their campus.

I think the key to all of this is for Alabama to form its own Division. They are the ones who have a problem with how College Football is being played. You know the old saying " If you can not beat them, go to a private committee meeting in secret and try to get the rules changed"
