Not until we ban your shitty arse.

And it's not unreasonable to think Pearl would've stayed at UT for awhile. It's pretty clear he loved it there, could make some solid tourney runs there, and they have solid facilities/support as well.

Do you know how to do this whole message board thing? We can have someone at tRant headquarters send you an instruction manual if needed.

Please enlighten us on why UTk would be considered a great job?

1 Recruiting Base ? How many BB Players does East TN Produce.
2.League- The SEC is considered a Football League, and TN is not considered a traditional NCAA Tournament participant.
3 Facilities- Large Arnea, but hard to fill.

It is a great job, not elite but great.

1. Lots of talent in Tennessee
2. Tennessee has always had good fan support for Bball. Lots of tourney appearances
3. Beautiful arena, regularly top 5 in the nation in attendance

Most of the talent is in West TN, where there is a lot of competition. My point is any job in the SEC that is not KY, UF, Ark or even Missouri, would not be a top 30 job as far a potential for competing for a NC. Remember 66 teams make the NCAAs.

Ok, doesn't mean it's not a great job. Every media expert I've ever heard says it's a top 3/4 job in the SEC. No, it's not a Duke/UNC, but a great job.

Top 3/4, behind UK, UF, Ark and again maybe Missouri. That would mean it is not a top 30 jobs in the Nation. There are at least 8-10 better jobs in both the ACC and Big 10, 4 in the Big 12, 4 in the Pac 12 plus 10 or more from other conferences. Everyone wants to equate the SECs Football position to their BB Programs. That is not the case.

Pearl said earlier this year that Tennessee is the second best job in the league. I do think Pearl would leave for a blue blood job without a doubt but he turned down Boston College (alma mater), Iowa (assistant coach there), Memphis and other jobs while he was here.

He was regularly getting 20K a game and recruiting top 10 classes here.

Not a lot of top talent in East Tennessee but he signed 5 stars from ATL, Detroit, Virginia Beach, Kentucky and NYC while he was here.

And his continued success would have led to bigger job offers. His personality was the reason for his recruiting success, hell he is doing it at AU too. To think anyone could come into Knoxville and do the same, they have not studied SEC BB History.

If Pearl is causing this many threads and this much enmity with a bad team and record...what is this place going to be like when he has Auburn in the tourney every year. This place will blow up.

If you are wanting to know, it's a better job than Auburn.

I actually think it's a good thing. Although Pearl certainly did a lot for the program, I don't think he was ever going to get Tennessee to the next level. I think it's good we were forced to part ways with him because would never have done it ourselves.
