That’s what I was thinking.
AL vs. Clemson 1 was quite possibly the greatest championship game outside USC vs. Texas.
It had everything. A Heisman winner. A Heisman runner up. A kickoff return. An onside kick IN THE FOURTH QUARTER. A tight end and walk on QB/WR having the games of their lives. I mean Jesus, what more could you scrubs ask for?

Easy fix to this put Alabama and Clemson against each other in the first round of the playoff. If both teams make it there. I wouldn't have a problem with that at all as an Alabama Fan.

If they aren't the top team and the 4th best team, then yeah, I'd have a problem with it.

Translation, "I want bama to play anybody else but Clemson" Finebaum is a joke. On the documentary about Bo Jackson he talked about Bo breaking bats in college over his leg.. They used metal bats you idiot, that was In the MLB.

If we get past Clemson then we most likely play Oklahoma. Two years of revenge in one playoff. I would love it.

Only if Oklahoma is the top team, Alabama 2nd, Clemson 3rd, and Ohio State 4th. I'm not at all in favor of artificially ranking the teams to manufacture a semifinal matchup between Alabama and Clemson. If Alabama and Clemson are the top two teams, rank them 1-2. Period. End of discussion.

Finebaum is one of the reasons the SEC network is so successful, and that means more money to the SEC team you pull for. As much as I don't even care to watch him, you have to admit he's a big reason the SEC Network has taken off outside of the live events.
You can make the argument SEC Nation is as popular to College Gameday. I can't stomach Gameday anymore, Pollock is awful, Desmond's laugh is annoying, Corso is going to literally die on set, Rece tries to be too funny (not everything has to be a joke - he could learn that from Fowler), and herbie has his moments. Fowler did a much better job of not letting them get too off topic.
I like the back and forth of Finebaum and Spears/Tebow. It's also better without Tessitore. The main thing Finebaum loses a lot of credibility on is on SEC Nation he will kiss the coaches' arse but get him on his weekly show and other forums he will be the first to slam them - it's unprofessional but he has to do that to real in the SEC fans (and it don't take much) He plays it to a T

I think Penn St could give both a run for their money. Barkley might be the best player in the country. The Clemson QB doesn't want any part of that Bama D. Venables hire put Clemson over the top, this might be Clemson's best defense assuming they stay healthy.
