The new score board includes clock, sound system (most fans biggest complaint), etc.

The Boxes are in the process of being upgraded, the concourses outside the boxes will now be climate controlled and are being enclosed and will be ready this season.

The stadium itself will not be updated until the 2016 or 2017 season, but it is happening.

The board also approves two different architectural team to begin preliminary design work on improvements to Jordan-Hare Stadium.

Why does the sound system have to be in the scoreboard? Why can't there be speakers throughout the stadium so that it won't be really loud for some and reasonable for others?

I don't understand the need for anything that big in a stadium. I mean, shite look at that thing

AU AD could read up on the law of diminishing marginal utility

the board also approved two architectural firms to begin work on plans for a bigger renovation and expansion that would cost over 100 million dollars

Yep, and it sounds great, except for when Cochran gets on.

I always thought Auburn's scoreboard was pretty nice.

Don't they have roughly 78 or so other, much more pressing issues to deal with

I thought so to, I know UT's is slightly larger than our current one and when they go full screen the video doesn't stretch properly.

We do have other pressing issues but none that you mention are more pressing. The upgraded sound system is a must and having a 'tv' you can see as well as in your living room should help fill seats, not that we had a problem with that but you know.

But isn't Auburn's Gameday experience inside the stadium (amenities, concessions, bathrooms, concourses, etc) pretty terrible?

No.

According to pretty much every Auburn person I know and most of those in this thread, it is.

The concourses, bathrooms, general feel of the stadium is about 10-15 years behind most the SEC at this point. I don't think that is really debatable.

Not one Auburn fan would complain about the game day experience. There might be some complaints about facilities

No, no......not the overall experience, the actual in-stadium experience ala amenities of the facilities. That was what we were talking about above.
