Also - and this may be because of the renovations GoCrazy noted - why not replace the little scoreboard in the other end? It's an artifact from the 1990's.

That's insane. A&M just built the largest scoreboard in CFB at 7,661 Square Feet. That one would be 16,128 Square Feet. Damn.

I know I'm just a grumpy old man, but if I wanted to watch TV, I would just stay home.

Easier, cheaper, and more comfortable.

Any chance we could throw the male cheerleader mic man off the top of that thing?

To be honest, that just doesn't look very good.
Don't think there has been an official rendering of what it'll look like yet

We started letting our male cheerleader take a mic out to midfield before the game.

I 100% blame you guys for putting that idea in our people's head.

It isn't, just a size comparison. I don't know what else they'd be able to do it with it though. I just think it will be more of an eyesore than anything else.

If you are going to do something that big I'd want them to try something different out. Maybe wrap it around the endzone or something. I don't know, but that is just going to look strange. And 1/3 of the stadium is going to have issues with it.

I imagine they have a plan to make it flow with the existing stadium

He needs to die. It's fine when he gets the actual cheers going, but when he starts doing the chants in between them, I want to stab him. You are the only one saying "let's go big blue, let's go". Just stop.

I guess if you can't have an upper deck you can compensate with that

We're just trying to keep Auburn students/fans from having something to throw 'Bama fans off of...

You should be grateful.

Considering this is what they decided needed fixing first in our stadium, I'm going to assume not.

You actually might be on to something here. This may be to stop the students from throwing the footballs over the edge.

$13.9M to stop students from doing that? Definitely sounds like something Jay Jacobs would do.

Most AU fans aren't interested in increasing seating capacity. Would rather have upgrades to existing stadium.

That would be a half truth.
