this was a quote from one of LSU's players in the locker room,

And does Will Clapp actually think that he and his mates on the OL are good enough of a unit to get LSU to the CFP?

So I guess the coordinators do matter......

Yes, I do think it matters that a head coach be a coordinator first.

But maybe I am old school like that.

Nobody wanted to see LSU get rid of Les Miles and put the talent on full display with a full year to redo schemes. Be honest, the fear is coming back.

can't believe that a coach would say things to motivate his team, what an idiot.

Fits in with your fans who predict success every year.

Dabo Swinney pays off National title game bet to Nick Saban - adds special note
Video of Dabo talking about the bet and Saban's response
quote:

"I had written see you in Tampa next year, then he starts going, 'we're not going to Tampa, we're no good.'

It's just a different approach. Saban never lets up with the preparation and pushing, even once the goal is achieved. O is in a spot where he has to sell possibility to his players and recruits. Saban is selling reality. .

You have no fricking clue as to what I have a fricking clue about. That's his shtick. He even talked about it at his introductory press conference. Players have talked about it. Coaches that I know personally that have had clinics with him have talked about it. He'll, at the youth camp my son goes to he talks about it.

Well that should put LSU in the lead for the pre-season NC. I wonder what Butch or Gus will have to say about that.

Everyone should have a coach that has no desire to be in the playoffs - Gumps.

Seriously, I could see it. They could win the SEC. Don't see what's so improbable about that.

LSU's odds of making it next year are as good or better than all but 8 or 9 other teams. it most definitely will take a break or two but I think the key elements are there.
