I agree 100%. With that said, it was definitely time. It was at least four games too late, in my opinion. I wish he gracefully road off into the sunset after the aTm game last year.

It was time when he ate the grass off the field.

LOL I was there when he was first noticed doing that by the media. It was the last time we beat Bama in Baton Rouge. I thought maybe he was on to something. Guess not. LOL

I like Les very much.

And he has been good for CFB.

But so would Ron Burgundy. He'd be great for CFB.

Les is a likable guy. A nice guy. A unicorn combo of respectability with likeness.

But he very easily could just be the guy with the biggest car lot in town, making likable commercials.

He was a program mascot. Nothing more. At least that's what I've seen of him in recent years.

Is this cubs thing necessary.

I mean, frick.

Looking forward to this game because it's LSU, at night too. This is the shite we came to the SEC for.

Yeah, recent years he became a caricature of himself, and it was definitely time for change.

LSU should have fired him before the bowl game last year, but instead they've proven their real futility.

Based on that, it's incumbent upon me to mention...

Amen brother.

They have an inordinately strange amount of Cubs fans in their fan base.

Makes them that much easier to hate, but it also explains the delusional inferiority complex they all also seem to possess.

Such a strange group to observe. More complex and confused than Arkansas to be sure.

The similarities are mind numbing.

STL has a bit of the big bro envy city wise with Chicago, there's definitely a bit of insecurity there.

But, then we pop the rings out.

I feel like the state of Alabama probably goes through the same machinations regarding NOLA, etc., but then they pop the rings.

LSU and the Cubs make sense, big bro town without the hardware to really compete with little bro, no matter how hard they try.

a lot of us down here grew up watching the cubs on wgn, back in the "old" cable days.

they showed some braves and astros on tbs, a few white sox games on wgn, but every cubs game (with exceotion of a national network game) was on wgn.

my whole neighborhood was pretty much cubs fans with a few astros and braves fans.

taint louis.

Should be a relatively easy win.
