Reads quite different than what the AJC conveyed it to be and helps to explain why charges weren’t filed. Not behind a paywall either.

quote:

We have obtained the police report from the incident involving #UGA DL Jamaal Jarrett last June.

Full details -- including a text message exchange and interviews with the accuser and the accused.

No commentary added.

““I had also reviewed and clarified the details of (her) own testimony with her to the point of confirming that she did not at any point articulate any crime being committed against her (she never directly told him to stop, took any action to try to top any given action, or articulated forced used.)”

And the AJC is trying to make a big deal that he is still on the team.

It is stupidity at its finest. But then again, it is the AJC. That is their specialty.

They should absolutely be believed when their story matches the evidence.

When it doesn't, there's a problem.

His words look more believable based on what was found.

I’m going to get a ton of downvotes for this… but these females that meet a guy and voluntarily choose to go out with them, go back to their apartment/hotel/house and engage in activities when they have no actual relationship with the man and then to later cry rape/abuse it getting ridiculous.

Show some pride in yourself, have some respect for yourself and others may have more respect for you.

I understand what you are saying, but if it is also a bad decision by this woman, it's also a bad decision by this teenager.

The bottom line is every piece of evidence they could gather matched what he told them. She texted him first the next morning, got angry because I guess he didn't say he loved her or tell her how beautiful she was. He tells her he's not angry because she's asking why is he angry. Strange conversations between a man and woman when the woman claims just hours earlier she had been violated.

Certainly not and it appears that rape did not occur in this situation.

No it doesn’t, but choosing to do so places you in a risky situation when you have very little knowledge about the man you no existing relationship with. Young people have little regard for danger and are willing to take risks, I understand that. I’m just saying use a little discretion, caution and some damn self respect when you choose to make those decisions.

But then she didn't according to the police.

She texts him first the next morning and asks why he is mad?

Make sense of that.

You do know “articulate” and “claimed” are not the same, right?

Poor judgment on Jamal’s part. I get it. He was 16 and this may be the girl trying to get ahead of any sort of statutory rape charges, but to record it was a very bad decision on a lot of levels.

But then again, this kind of action is ok at Georgia, they’ll send their whole crew with you to the police headquarters to sort it out.

He asked her if he could remove the condom? lol. What a dumbass.

She is probably more disappointed that his load didn’t carry.

Totally fair conclusion.

For some reason this seems to be the thing nowadays, even among non athletes. Snapchat and Tik Tok culture, it’s weird. Oddly, for all the legal issues it logically raises it has also provided necessary evidence to demonstrate consent in false accusation cases.

And now we’ve jumped the shark.

We send 1 guy whose responsibility is to keep the program informed of what’s happening as it’s happening for legal and publicity reasons. Every major program has someone like it, generl public just isn’t typically made aware of who it is and what they do.

Huntley Johnson was literally on retainer for Florida football during the Meyer years and served in a similar capacity.
