One of the violations stated was Freeze and Maurice Harris in a recruits home. A booster shows up( major violation because they all converse). Then said booster pays kids $67 cell bill and Mommas $120 phone bill! Do rebels believe that the NCAA thinks gat this was just a one time accident?!! It shows them a fricking PATTERN !!!!! The scholarship reductions are going to be very severe and you can bet your arse in a post seasons ban. Freeze won't be fired but it wouldn't shock me. This is serious shite! And there will be multiple coaches fired.
Melt, you dumb bitch.

i saw that but the coaches names were redacted in what I read. So there is another version without the redacted names

Has the Ole Miss AD challenged any of the SEC Rant posters to a fight yet?

Rick Neuhiesel(sp?) apparently was lied to also.

I've been trying to tell these rebel fans that boosters were involved as well as current staff only to be told I know nothing and nothing will come of this.
I also said after OM received their letter that they were still cheating and that the ncaa began a new imvestigation including being in my old home town. I know a lot about this but can't comment on specifics but what I can say is this, as mentioned before, OM fans were not told the truth.
The Tunsil draft day ordeal isn't their biggest worries, the Ncaa had already began interviewing more people because of a few little things they found out after the initial letter. And they have proof too trust me. In the meantime the hanky panky continues and lack of institutional control is very very real. This has been going on even before the Michael Oher deal. It's just finally catching up to them.

They have us by the nutz all the way back to Big Mike? What do you suggest we do?
Posted on 5/28/16 at 1:29 am to matthew25
Oher himself is not a factor. What is a factor though is a possible link back then to the present. That is what you worry about. It's just one more link that took the Ncaa into other areas. By the way, it was someone associated with another program who spilled those beans as to not wanting a family member in the middle of accedemic fraud covering for Ole Miss and they sang like a canary.

Also, I can tell you this.. your boosters better be reigned in quick in multiple states. I am telling you right now that the death penalty is VERY real and Bjork and company appear to be burying their heads in the sand. That shite don't work with the Ncaa and you know it. They are still digging.

You saying they got them on academic fraud from that far back to present? That.... would have to pretty much seal their fate...

No because there are new people at OM. However, it opened up a trail to follow which the Ncaa suspected going all the way back to Oher. Since then they now have proof of more recent accedemic fraud and that is the big bad wolf.

I had been told by someone I trust who has been right about everything so far that this first letter was nothing and that what is coming is looking very bad for OM. He wouldn't go into any details, just that it was bad and it had to do with academic fraud. I honestly thought he might have been just being a bit dramatic about how bad this is, but now.. It looks like he wasn't. I mean, unless we have been talking to the same person. ??

It's always possible I guess but I doubt it. You did however hit on something common, yes it's very possible a second letter is coming after this calendar year, perhaps early spring. That constitutes repeat offender. The Ncaa does not like to be lied to or challenged once they have the goods. I can tell you this, after Ole Miss received their first letter the Ncaa began digging again which tells me they felt lied to and uncovered more crap. That is a very bad sign if you are an OM fan.

And they still have the draft night stuff to answer for apparently. Yeah, somehow I don't see it only being 11 scholarships over 3 years. Lol

Paid rent, cell phone, cars, gas, food, lodging. What else could Ole Miss pay for? They pretty much covered everything anybody would need.

Actually yes, but the accedemic fraud to get recruits qualified is the bigger monster. Anyone who has seen the movie "Blindside" should take note because while the Ncaa could not prove it at the time, everyone including them knew there was accademic fraud.
What OM realized is that they got away with more violations and took it to a higher level. When you get cocky and start cherry picking recruits across the country and stealing top talent that grew up big fans of an instate school, you showed your cards. You don't go from having a terrible season to all of a sudden signing top 10 classes.
ETA: While Msu focussed on instate talent willing to send them Juco in hopes of getting them back later, OM fans made fun of Mullen's lack of the ability to recruit. I honestly believe that Mullen was looking into the future establishing connections with instate schools. You sign one and that kid can tell the HS Jrs of that school how much he likes Msu. Recruits to help recruiting other kids instate and that is what has happened.
We'll still have some that won't qualify next class but they will go Juco and Mullen has a huge jump on OM for instate kids I believe.

Sounds like the NCAA knew shite and had proof of said shite prior to going into the first investigation but said nothing to OM about said shite to see how forthcoming they would be and now that they were not forthcoming they are going to nail them big time with a second letter.
