"Coach Freeze said ‘Get ready if you come here because you have got to play. We need you, we want you and can help you get to the league," said Anderson, who's also made official visits to LSU and Texas since the start of the New Year. Beyond this boilerplate "great visit" talk, the 6-foot-1, 202-pounder also addressed whether current NCAA charges of rule violations against Ole Miss have clouded his view. They have not. "I talked to Coach Freeze about [potential violations]," Anderson said, adding that "he said it was about things that had happened in the past before he got to Ole Miss. I knew he would be honest with me. When I first heard it, it didn’t shake me up."

From Deontay Anderson. Wow. Hugh Freeze is a piece of shite.

Those players that have been lied to should be able to transfer.

Freeze timeline update...

December 2015 Freeze stated - "And we all follow the plan I created for recruiting"

February 2016 Freeze stated - "We've had four consecutive top 15 classes. I know how we do things. I know how our staff does things."

February 2016 Freeze stated - "I am confident that how we do things inside this building are the right way."

May 5, 2016 - "I know nothing."

May 25, 2016 - Freeze believes everything will go away quietly per the honorable and trustworthy Rick Neuheisel

May 27, 2016 - "frick"

Hate to take away from the pitchforks but saw this on twitter

The NCAA commended Ole Miss on cooperation:
"The institution was actively engaged and provided enforcement staff w/ valuable assistance."

NCAA literally said that verbatim to Alabama before they vacated 21 wins and put them on probation...and that was just for textbooks.

It's probably a template response to put in the press release.

"For 27 of the 28 allegations, we agree that a violation of NCAA rules occurred; however, for several of those allegations we do not agree on all of the facts. For five of those 27 violations, we believe the violation should be classified differently (e.g., the violation is alleged as a “Level II violation” but we contend the violation should be classified as “Level III”)."

Ole Miss has apparently based their suggested punishment on their belief that the NCAA has screwed up in their interpretation of the facts. I'd be shocked if they don't come back with significantly harsher penalties. They don't do real well with something questioning their judgment.

One bright spot for this for Ole Miss is that I think Bjork is a helluva AD and this will cast a shadow on him a little bit
A little bit? How does an AD even survive when 3 programs under your watch go on probation?

The reason I find so much joy in all of this is because of AJ. It's almost like the perfect karma.

Only thing I've seen from him is a couple nights stay at his residence totalling $33 value. What did I miss?

LSU fired a coach and the player never played a down when he put him up in a hotel room or something similar. Forget what we self imposed, I almost want to say just 3 schollies over two years.

But LSU jumped way out in front and NCAA commended our compliance office. They did what they were supposed to. Catch it and not just brush it under the rug.

Again, it is entirely possible that they didn't know the full story. However, it looks really bad on the face of it, and if that narrative takes off in sports media, the NCAA will want to hit back hard.

First, LSU fired the coach and the player was booted. Never played. This wasn't something found when the ncas was looming. LSU offered it up on their own.

They were later investigated in the will lyles thing. Shepard supposedly discussed his meeting with a teammate and received a 4 or 5 game suspension. For it.

This is not the same situation.

The relevance ole miss thinks they have with the national scene is hilarious, not to mention how hated they think they are by bama fans for 2 wins out of the 10 they have earned over their history

Ole Miss didn't matter before, they won't matter now. It's just a good laugh for the rest of us non cheating cheaters that cheat
