Agreed. If you are at your home, and you're doing nothing wrong, why not say "My name is Senquez and this is my house"?

Exactly. If the cops stopped him and asked for ID, all he had to do was say I'm Senquez Golson. They would have had no reason to detain him after that. The fact that he wouldn't identify himself is why he was detained in the first place.

Its like being a prick to a judge before he rules on your cash settlement.
If you want to be an arse to a cop, you better either know the letter of the law or be prepared to be detained and/or arrested/ticketed for the tiniest thing

He can ask, but that person does not have to comply. And the cop certainly can't arrest them for not complying.
actually, you are required to provide your name in many states. that is one of the few things can ask you and you be require to answer. he doesn't have to answer, sure, but he can also be arrested for that if it is the law. not sure what the law is in mississippi

Real life? Didn't know you could just randomly stop a dude for no reason. Sounds unconstitutional to me.
you can, but an officer cannot detain you or prevent you from leaving without probable cause to arrest you or at least reasonable suspicion to frisk you.
