Let's be real, even OM fans wanna know what kinda shite lead to the "pattern of misconduct". I have my popcorn ready.

Ole Miss probably realized that Nutt's attorneys would just file a motion to compel those records and ask for attorneys fees.

Tom Mars is ruthless. He won't quit until there is all dirt out there.

This proves there is no NCAA violation in the records.
Just dirt on Hugh.
Just dirt on Hugh.

My man, they already have a laundry list of violations.
This doesn't prove anything other than OM knows the records are coming out one way or another.

This proves nothing. Nothing probably except that Ole Miss lawyers are good with a black magic marker.

How so??
What it proves is that the law is not on Ole Miss' side and they folded again. It would have proved there was nothing in it if they didn't put up a fight and turned them right over. Freeze is disgraced and gone, why not turn them right over if everything is on him? In order to keep from letting things cool down and then bring the negative attention back later?
For a university with a law school, they have sure handled this entire situation like amateurs with discount legal representation.

OM law school is discount legal representation. It's astounding how poorly their law graduates perform. They have the lowest income average of any law school in America.

When former Ole Miss coach Houston Nutt’s attorney, Thomas Mars, requested a series of phone records regarding recently resigned coach Hugh Freeze, the university said it would cost Nutt’s team more than $25,000 to produce the documents.
The hefty price tag was because Ole Miss wanted to pay for its team of lawyers to review the records — something that Mars was justifiably upset about.
Why would Nutt have to pay $25k for OM's lawyers to review the phone records? That makes no sense.

You're allowed to charge reasonable fees to recoup the cost of public records requests. $25k may or may not be reasonable depending on the size of the production and what it may cost OM to get the records from their provider.
Having said that, lsufball19 is spot-on. They dropped the fee because they realized that Nutt's attorneys would just bill it back with additional costs added for their time to force OM to produce the items.

Yeah I get it. But why would that include OM's attorneys fees for review of the records like the article stated?

What the frick you talking about Willis? I doubt the administration has reviewed them all since nothing was found the previous 8-10 months in their own investigation
