Ole Miss vs. Mississippi State - Better Program Last 5 Years?

Pretty tight, but I have to give the edge to State. Incredible to me that at the height of Ole Miss cheating, they still are the second best program in their own state. Congrats to State for doing it the right way

OM is 1-1 in NY6 bowls

ETA: I think the OP speaks volumes about the differences in potential for each program. That time frame includes the worst single season in OM history and the best 5 year stretch in State history.

I think Mullen has done a good job. Problem is he may have hit his ceiling. He is having trouble keeping assistant coaches. Many of them don't even move their families to Starkville. If he would quit flirting with other schools and commit to state he could probably stay there as long as he wants. If ole miss does not get hit with serious sanctions he's probably in trouble and knows that too. I think it all depends on the NCAA ruling. No way state beats ole miss this year in Oxford and that would be three losses in a row. I think after this year he will be 1-5 vs freeze.
