makes it look like attending services is a formal part of the football program - the same as attending practice and other formal team activities.

I understand that you are guessing and not saying you necessarily agree with this....but why? I mean, by having a portion of the team go to the training room and into the jacuzzi indicate that that is a formal team activity and infer that the whole team had to get into the jacuzzi?

Or if they allowed the debate team to meet in the team meeting room, would that make it seem as if the entire team would have to join the debate team?

Christians aren't persecuted. They are ill mannered rude people who don't have a clue about our constitution or the founding of this country and cry "persecution" when someone calls them on it. This country is going to hell in a hand basket.

Sorry. maybe I wasn't clear.

One argument made is that they are having a religious activity in a football room, so therefore many football players may feel compelled to participate.

Using this argument, if the debate team used that same room to practice in, would the football team feel obligated to join the debate team?

The reasoning some of these "Freedom From" groups use just doesn't make sense....much like my prior post.

I HOPE my line of thinking is clearer now...not saying you would agree with it, just saying THEIR line of thinking doesn't hold water, IMO.

PWilly is an American success story. Grew up worse than dirt poor and that motivated him to do a lot of good things. Will always be my favorite OM player.

Just a bunch of atheist butt hurt, mad other people are religious.

As others have said, nobody is required to attend church or pray, that would be against the rules and should be. Those that choose to participate are allowed to do so.
