We gave away a scholorships to a senior that never took a snap a few years ago. Just because we felt bad. We got scholorships to throw away

I honestly could see it not being very harmful at all.
11 Schollys over a couple of years, I am surprised not more really.
The fine is a joke, you have to admit that...
What HF has done is remarkable as a coach, and against others opinions, I think he is a good coach..

As gutless as the NCAA is, sure....
I truly believe the NCAA is afraid of losing the power 5 from beneath it's umbrella.

This is only Ole Miss's recommendations for scholly loss. Due to Ole Miss's exemplary cooperation, the NCAA may actually lessen the amount of scholarships lost.

in the mid 90s, NCAA hit Ole Miss and Billy Brewer with a reduction of 12 scholarships per year, for 2 years. that is 24 scholarships over 2 years, a whole class. tv ban for 1 year, and a bowl ban for 2 years. seems like the worst penalties ever handed out in the history of the ncaa, minus the death penalty smu got...and the worst thing Ole Miss did that time was taking recruits to strip clubs in Memphis.

The NCAA's power and ability to find and investigate is limited. However, once they have a bead on you and think you aren't being up front, they will make you bleed as an example to others. Think Penn State, USC, and Bruce Pearl. If you give them reason to get mad, they will damn sure come at you.

11 scholly's will hurt, when u throw in recruits who don't pan out, fail out, etc. Ask Alabama about scholly cuts in the Shula era.
